  • Wedges - jump in ball speed

Occassionaly when I'm hitting my 54 degree wedge I see a jump in ball speed. Normally on a full shot my ball speed would be 95 mph, but about 1 in 3 shots I see the ball speed register in the 120 to 130 mph range, with the launch angle still being correct. Any thoughts on why this might be and how to correct it?

So do you have thousands of shots in your history? How do you view them?

golfsimulatortours.com. Click on tour players, find your name, scroll down to recorded tour shots and recorded non tour shots. Use the Search button to filter. Once you have shot recording turned on, your shot data will be there.

LOL..... I think that I started on the tour when there was about 4 players..... so pretty easy to get a trophy. It's a little tougher now.

So you don't see a video? Just the shot data? that's very cool. I tried exporting to exel, but it didn't work very well.

Ok Protee, I don't need a video but can you tell me how to do? Please.

I'm presuming it doesn't record gimmes?

There always seem like so much to do for the guys at Protee, and we sometimes forget how far we've come in the last three years since the introduction of the TGC, so much better now then it first was.

Yes I can see the issue with exporting directly to exel, it shows up in one column so you can't sort it. Will have to have someone show my how to make exel recognize the CSV format.

save the file, open excel, go to 'file -> open', select the csv, and it should automatically take you through the formatting wizard and you tell it columns are separated by semicolons.

Cool as this is, I'm not sure how this will help protee with the jump in ball speed issue, so let's say 24 of 25 7 Irons show a max speed of 124 mph, then one shows 154 mph... how does this help solve the problem? Can protee go back and look at that specific shot. btw when I played my round yesterday it didn't happen once, but when I was hitting some ball on "Richard's Driving Range" it happened a couple times, both times with a 5 wood.

true with what you are saying its not the shot in question its how its being computed, I think that its mostly there and we all have grandeur of a perfect system and we all are striving for that, which is why I feel this forum was created and the commitment to all these members and manufacturers that visit this. but that rewind button is bugging me as when I use it out of computer related issue and not out of practice issue, I remember that more so then the round I could have had. My protee is in the toddler stage as I have only had it for three months and has growing pains as I learn it and fix issues by what we are doing right now on this thread......
