  • Skytrak failure to read

I'm sure its probably been talked about somewhere already. What does it mean when you hit the ball and the skytrak turns red like its reading then nothing happens. It just turns back green. Ive finally got my program running good and now I'm having this issue. Ive been getting probably 15-20 or so a round. It either does that or just nothing at all. Ive followed all the setup advice and tried network and direct mode. Its getting pretty frustrating doubling and tripling up shots. I thought maybe it was just a putting issue but im finding its on all diff shots. Im using a country club elite mat. Anyone know if that makes a difference?

I believe there is a 4th type of No Read: Ball is hit, top light goes red, everything seems normal but no signal is acknowledged. While this may be a transmission issue, I believe it is more of a read issue. I've found that this happens most often when I hit a shot immediately after the lights go green. If I delay a few seconds, this rarely happens. Also, I think lighting is an issue -- too much light, especially around 5600k (daylight) seems to be worse than too little light. No conclusions here, just theories and anecdotal experience. Love my Skytrak; definitely not a POC.

Just to clear this up. Skytrak can never have too little light. It would work perfectly fine in pitch black.
