SkyTrak_Seth Love the Bag Mapping function and dispersion info! Was there any update to the algorithm? Seems like my driver and 5w goes a little further than usual, maybe just excited for the bag mapping.
One little tiny nitpick, can us lefties get the 'fade/draw' bias description corrected?
Overall, very useful features in this release. Thank you!!

I own a gc2 and am jealous of this update. I love it. Skytrak should look at setting up dual units for lefty righty situations, reducing shot delay and improved short shot detection. If that was addressed I see no reason to buy anything else, especially if they implement club data. Well done.

Would love to see a practice skill game where random yardage is given by SkyTrak and we try and hit the target. Would be a fun way of working on your game and hitting different random clubs and shots
and get a score at the end.

We'll get there. It's a great idea.

My coach (PGA accredited) has 2 tools like this on his Trackman. It's a great tool when doing a lesson to have a range of different shots from varying distances and not just 5 balls to the one spot. We have one for playing a course (ie drive then iron to a certain distance, etc) and another one just for 100 yards in that varies the distance each shot,

Anyone else seeing a glitch in their History view (accessible from main screen)? I'm seeing the first page of sessions having only one line, labeled "Friday 4/17", and it's not clickable. Going to subsequent pages, my data is there, but the "Friday 4/17" still appears on the first line making that line's date practically impossible to read.- Ron at GunghoGolf.com - we specialize in TrackMan, FlightScope, Foresight, Uneekor, SkyTrak, Garmin, Bushnell, TGC, and E6 Connect. 512-861-4151 or email hello AT gunghogolf.com.

Yeah and looks like cannot access History from iPad app again unless you are connected to SkyTrak unit. Was fixed in last few releases where you can view History even if not connected to SkyTrak.
-
Can you close the app and open it up again with an internet connection? Let it sync the data. Do you still see that session? May be a bug. If so, send me a screenshot in a PM. I'll get it sorted quickly. Also, to access your profile history, you need to have your device connected only the first time you access it. After that, you shouldn't need the unit connected.
-
Ok connected ST to app and synced. Now all good. Thanks.

I am glad they are continuing to come out with updates, but not having more than one user effectively makes all these advanced stats useless for me as 2-3 family members use it and only a single sessions worth of data is useful without knowing who hit the ball.

Don't see it on the original message here but the E-Mail says one of the improvements is, "Removed Alignment Mode"...........
Has anyone noticed this ?? If so, is there a new way to align it ????

Wow, that kinda sucks for me, as my alignment feature seemed to be spot on. I would turn it on, and then use a laser level behind me, and run the laser down the two dots, and as long as I hit down the line, I was right down the middle! Because I'm always moving my SkyTrak around so I am not hitting off the same spot on my mat, it made it very easy to ensure I was perfectly aligned.
Guess I'm going to have to do the update and play around with it to see if I can get it aligned as easily. Luckily, I have the FMJ that has a slot for an alignment stick.
-
The lasers’ original and intended purpose is for ball placement only, where a small discrepancy in distance (in relation to the unit) between the two is a non-issue. We thought it would be nice to use the lasers to provide a target line, but given that it in the field the lasers are often not perfectly aligned, then it was causing more harm than good. It’s not that anything is wrong with the unit – we are talking millimeters differences here between the two lasers (right and left handed), which makes no difference at all for ball capture. But that does affect side angle, so it was best to remove it. We will be shooting a video soon that illustrates how to use alignment sticks or a golf club to achieve the same result – probably better in fact. Personally, the only way I think alignment mode would be of great use, assuming they were perfectly in-line, would be if you could hit shots while it was turned on. This is not possible due to the technology.

Very excited. Haven't gotten a chance to test it out but look Jg forward to mapping the bag. Are the numbers remembered in some location or is it a results page that is saved?

I saw that and have the same question. Wonder why it was removed and what the new method to align it is supposed to be.Originally posted by StanMIDon't see it on the original message here but the E-Mail says one of the improvements is, "Removed Alignment Mode"...........

Reading other threads people were complaining about alignment mode not being accurate. As I understand it the cameras are perfectly aligned with the front of unit but the lasers had a bit wiggle room. The lasers were never intended to be perfectly aligned and were just only for a ball placement guide.
Easy to align the unit with 2 alignment sticks.

Stupid question time: I get the dispersion circles, but what do the dispersion numbers mean (shot history)?
Farthest distance between two points:
0,53
-6,63
a = -6
b = 10
a2+b2=136
sqrt 136 = 11.6619

This is what confuses me. I hit some shots with an offline range between -3 and -7. Distance range was 44 - 55. The dispersion was calculated as 10.8/11.8. I could understand a front-back dispersion figure of approx 10, but the l/r dispersion should be around 4?
-
The dispersion is the farthest distance between two points, so you have to figure in total distance and offline distance combined. The rest of the shots determine the shape of the ellipse.
-
So I pick the two shots with the greatest total separation and this should give the dispersion value (via something like http://www.mathwarehouse.com/algebra...la/index.php)? If so, why are there 2 values in the shot history?
