To be fair £300 is not a lot to pay for club data.
Absolutely not, but it is a lot to pay for being part of a beta. Which means we dont even know if the product is working. And we dont know if its going to work with other sim softwares or even the ST app.
And my point was that i dont think that many has the combination of one ST, TGC and R-Motion.
So if they want beta testers why not bundle it now.
Brutaly perhaps there is a slight misunderstanding. Neither RMotion nor the Skytrak TGC integration is beta. Both are used by customers in Eu and USA in decent numbers. What is new here is the fully integrated software. it is working but some kinks may be still there and we are working around the clock to fix issues we find out for a better TGC and RMotion and Skytrak experience.
My point was that finding betatesters with all three devices/softwares might be tricky. I assume you datamined the databases and crossmatched customers already.
If i have a R-motion with TGC bundled and add a SkyTrak can i join the beta? Or do i need to add in TGC to the SkyTrak?
Little confused. So I spend 399 to place a device on my clubs and I will now get club data when I play TGC? Yes, I have TGC and a skytrak already. Will it show where the ball hit the club face?
Well had a chance to test this today. Very nice to have the club and ball data. However, I'm questioning the readings from the Rmotion. I am fairly confident in my ability to tell when I hit a shot, what is going to happen. I would say that better than 95% of the time I hit a draw and have done so since I've been golfing. The ST reflects this quite well. Today the rmotion data showed my in to out swing nicely but the face to path reading is what i'm questioning. The vast majority of shots had the face open greater than the path which should produce a fade/slice, but the ST showed a draw. There are shots where I'm absolutely certain they are draws and it would show face more open than the path. I will take some screen shots when connected again. I made certain to hold the club still and square prior to the swing.
Also, prior to this update, i updated the rmotion to their latest beta and entered the club information. When i downloaded this beta, I'm not sure now if it took the club data from rmotion that I already had entered or not so I will have to check again. This is only in relation to the length and loft info for the clubs.
Im pretty sure that I saw the same tonight. Out to in club path with an open face, but a draw was displayed in tgc. But im definately going to reserve judgement, as maybe i dont have the clips positioned correctly, or in the setup. I havent done anything with the club settings yet either.
Keep in mind that R-Motion is not an 18k GCQuad and you need to make sure you address the ball with a straight club face. Also the clip needs to be aligned correctly. Here is a quick comparison sheet from a beta tester. Not bad at all if you consider its a $300 device . SkyTrak with R-Motion vs GCQuad.
No physics changes. It still uses all the SkyTrak ball data to simulate the shot. It will replace the calculated club/swing data with measured club/swing data.
R-Motion reads all the data in less then a second, which is much faster then the SkyTrak. Also the interface app will never wait for the R-Motion data to arrive, so if for some reason the R-Motion data is incomplete or does not arrive at all, the ball will launch without R-Motion data when the SkyTrak finished the ball analysis. No additional delays.
This is something Rapsodo has to create. Its not the right time to implement special features. The integration is still in beta. These sort of things will be added later.
