  • Official v3.1.1 SkyTrak App Release

    Wanted to get this out primarily to fix a leftover bug with hit/miss within the Skills Assessment. No huge changes.

    - Hit/Miss Logic Corrected for Skills Assessment
    - KPH now showing on Shot Optimizer
    - Rolled back Club Head Speed adjustments
    - Miscellaneous Bug Fixes and Improvements

    Random thought: have you or the other guys in the office considered doing a 'day in the life' vlog? I am very curious and I assume others are too on how things operate with the manufacturing team. Frankly, I am kind of envious too that you get to get off of a ST while at work.

      Hahaha! Most days, it would be a pretty boring vlog. But we have a fun office, good camaraderie, and at least 1 dog in here most days which makes hit testing interesting.

        Yea there is one named Prov1 on our course. He only seems to steal Prov1s.

        After updating to v3.1.1, I'm suddenly getting tons of no-reads (i.e., 10+ consecutive no-reads - after each hit laser dot just comes back and no shot is recorded). I'm also constantly losing connection between iPad Pro and SkyTrak (i.e., after 2-3 hits I lose connection, SkyTrak middle light turns orange, I have to exit the practice session to let SkyTrak app connect to SkyTrak unit again, same thing repeats after just 2-3 hits). SkyTrak_Seth, should I reset (by using pin to reset from bottom of unit) or resetting simply only erases wifi login details but does not really do any other resets to the machine? Thanks.

          To me, it all sounds network-related. You could try resetting the SkyTrak unit, but I'd probably start with router. You can verify this by trying in direct mode.

            I tried my skytrak today and got a lot of no reads too which I rarely ever got before...in direct mode. Not sure why...I'll try again later.

            It's crazy how little your wedges are spinning in your videos. I feel like that spray and hard balls must be eliminating spin.

          Is spin axis the wrong way round in the main range view now? Unless I don't understand how it works which is a strong possibility

            Nope, looks right. Think of the tilt of the spin axis line like the wings of a plane. If it banks left then it'll go left. A golf ball works (physically) in almost the exact same way. If the axis of lift (spin) is tilted left that means the spin is 'pushing' down and to the right, making the ball push itself left.

            I think it's the little blue fill bit under the line that threw me it's on the opposite side in range view than it is in numeric display. When it's a small amount of spin axis it's difficult to see the tilt of the line I just look for the blue bit. Should pay more attention I guess.

          Like others...with nothing changed other than updating the app on my iPad Pro.....I too am getting a noticeable amount of increased misreads and disconnects. To the point where it’s frustrating to use now. Is there anyway we can downgrade back to 3.1?

              its not an issue with skytrak or the spray i feel when i use tp5x i still get terrible spin im just not good at golf lol and i dont compress the ball well enough to get spin trying to work on that...

            Can we please down rev back to 3.1? 3.1.1 is not working. So bad I had to make a tee time and play real golf today.

                I can no longer even play JNPG. Every shot the stupid skytrak disconnects.....every single shot. This thing is now useless to me after working great for months.

                  This is exactly what I'm talking about. I totally get your frustration, but it's likely unfortunate timing with an app release. There is no way, aside from a firmware upgrade, that a SkyTrak app release could affect usability in a third party simulator software. My suggestion is to have the unit checked out, especially if the unit performs the same in JNPG and the SkyTrak app. How are you connecting? If USB, it could be static issues which are much more prevalent on a golf mat during the colder months.

                    Hi SkyTrak_Seth , could you explain what you mean by static issues please ?

                    I've got 3 skytrak in my facility, all working fine 99% of time but sometime (mostly at the end of the day), one unit got "crazy" like hyper sensitive (first light go red every second as soon as something move in front of the unit ...). I am trying to understand what could happen to explain this

                      I am going to assume that seth is talking about static electricity building up on the golf mat and affecting USB connectivity. If you have a facility covered in mats, and use USB, the charge would build up during the day, which could explain what you are experiencing. Especially if you are in a cold climate.
