The way I use SkyTrak is purely for game improvement. I don't and have no plan to play simulation games. Currently I use a Net Return hitting net, and an iPad to see the display. Do you think there is any benefit to install an impact screen and a projector to project the image from game improvement viewpoint? Any one in the same boat and have similar wonder?

Do I need a projector and screen?

I just use mine for practice too. I hit into a net and use the Android app and Chromecast the screen to an old TV on my wall. I don't have much desire to go to a screen and projector. It works great for what I use it for.
That being said, my net has worn some holes and I nearly put a ball through my window recently. I may go to an impact screen so I can get a projector later or I may just hang something more heavy in front of the net to slow the ball down.

If you want a cheaper option than a impact screen, I use two decorators cotton sheets fastened together to hit into and project onto and it works a treat, they’ve been up for over a year and show now sign of wear in the impact zone.

My net has lasted years, made the mistake of using an alignment rod as a target once. I hit it, and it shattered. I pulled it out carelessly, and sliced a 6 inch hole in the net in the process.
The solution was cheap. I used a really cheap white Walmart golf net ($20) and hung it behind the first net.

For those who have experience in playing on both, does impact screen with the target display help aiming? With hitting net, I consistently struggle in identifying where the target is....

I highly recommend hanging a string/cord/thin rope with a small weight attached. During set up, I eyeball alignment to string as target. Then I hit chip shots at the string, and adjust ST until shots that hit string go straight. Takes a couple of minutes, but results in a perfectly aligned target that you have confidence in.

I also hit in to my net return pro without a projector/impact screen and I have a centre string I use for initial alignment but also to aim at. I use Skytrak range and play TGC with no problem. A projector will be more immersive but it’s completely functional without one.

In complete agreement with Moroni and gresch12. I also have net return pro, very good system by the way if your current net is wearing out. I have seen some for sale here at very reasonable prices. I also have a cord hanging for alignment. As Gresham states hit some short chips pitches to check alignment and go from there. As to screen and projector. I have gaming laptop screen, 48" flatscreen mounted on wall 90 degrees from net, screen hanging on net return and projector. I personally just use my string for alignment. In TGC u use aiming circle for aim if needed. If u hit the center string generally shot will track near aiming circle, fades and slices excepted.

We've got the net return simulator series with the projection screen - and it's a great experience, looking forward into the driving range or golf course.
However, getting (and keeping) the SkyTrak and your hitting stance to line up correctly with the projection screen is very important, because if you're not lined up properly the shots will go offline (even if you believe you're hitting them straight).
