  • Does anyone know the thread sizes of the holes on the bottom of the unit? One large and 3 small. With a little garage manufacturing a leveling device/shield should be simple enough to come up with. Thanks!

So once they fix these bugs that is where you'll find it. For now, the only accurate history data is for your session history, but once you exit the practice session it's gone to user history.
I was thinking the data might be uploaded somewhere the sky golf website. It would be nice to be able to download the data into Excel.

I do not see it anywhere though.

      • I did the same, box in front of the unit for bounce back protection. Unless you are doing really stupid shots (see my previous PW lob attempt results) the shanks should miss the unit by at least a few inches. I had one today and it missed by a good margin. Still would like a real cage/shield to feel safe, and definitely before I let my kids have a go at it. I think there was a thread on one of the other forums where someone built one up themselves.

I took off the plastic film right away. I then air canned it and did a single very light microfiber wipe and had micro scratches right away. I won't be wiping it again unless absolutely necessary as this plastic is really really soft... kind of wish I had kept the film on since it doesn't seem to be affecting things. Might even get some of the tablet protection film and apply it and be able to clean it without fear of scratches.

Oh the actual data itself, yes it looks like each session data is sent to skytrak servers/database. I agree some kind of output would be nice. Maybe something for the "skygolf 360" integration hopefully coming.

          • comparing vector with skytrak with a 200yd hybrid.
The spin seems off on the skytrak. it registers high even when I use my driver.
It seems to help using a line but if I have to always use a line I might as well stick with my vector. My vector has so many more options and software features.
I also left the plastic film on. I'm still undecided whether I want to keep this. I really don't like the fact that you can't keep it plugged into the charger. All batteries go bad regardless of chemistry. It will eventually stop holding a charge which means you can't use the unit anymore. That really concerns me.

              • What is the backspin number on the Vector? The image you uploaded is too small to see the numbers.

I'm still wondering whether leaving the plastic film on actually affects the accuracy, since the manual does say to take it off first. Anyone actually compared the measurements with the plastic film on and off?

Also are you not able to turn on the unit and use it while it's plugged into the charger? I didn't get a chance to try that yet, but I'm a little surprised why you can't keep the unit plugged in to the charger while using it.

Were your distances the same on the vector and the skytrak? As Zmax mentioned, it's hard to see the numbers on the small vector picture. Have you ever compared the numbers on the vector with GC2 or Trackman numbers in the past to make sure it's accurate?

                    • Guys just so you know, you can take screenshots on the iPad by pressing the sleep and the home buttons at the same time 😉

                        • Previously, I mentioned that the app stopped responding several times during one hour session. I noticed that this may be related to low battery power. After I fully charged SkyTrak, I had no problem for a longer session at all.

leave a post about this in the enhancement page about charging

Here is the description of the game improvement package some of us purchased. Apparently, the data are stored in the cloud and they are accessible via SkyGolf 360 mobile app. I just got this app installed on my iphone and looked around to see the data to no avail. No integration yet. I asked about it to a chatting representative and got a response saying I need to call. They said this whenever they don't know what do to.

Golfers can track their progress, and know their distances and numbers for a better understanding of their game with Cloud Storage in your personal data locker provided via SkyGolf 360 mobile app. Chart your stats by club by shot and see average carry distances, learn your maximum distance and create a bag map for better club selection during play.

                              • sorry, I didn't know about the screenshot thingy on the apple. I only bought the ipad air2 for skytrak. I like android so much more. My wife likes apple because it's pretty so she's the iOS user. The spin on the skytrak is consistently higher, about 500-1000 with the hybrid and driver. I don't know if it's because of the plastic film, I highly doubt it. It's just taking a picture like the vector but probably at a higher resolution and speed. The vector produced results closer to my actuals (spin, shape, and distance). Both probably uses the same flight model. I might have not properly aligned the skytrak, I just eyeballed it but I'm fairly confident it was parallel to the target but not necessarily leveled to the mat, it may be a few degrees tilted upwards. It would be good to be able to see the actual pictures being taken like the vector. I like being able to correct and check the data, makes me feel confident about the results. Why doesn't this thing have a ball optimizer. In fact why don't they port everything over from the vRange, That was an awesome piece of software.
