Trugolf have announced version 1.6 ( https://trugolf.com/e6/ ) which should be available by the end of Jan. So hopefully Skytrak will have some kind of simulation announcement soon.

They've also announced that E6 will be available via the cloud ( https://trugolf.com/news/cloud-technology/ ) on a monthly subscription which to me sounds like the route ST will be taking.

I have never liked the idea of renting sim software monthly or yearly. I hope that's not their only option. Eecially when other software like TGC is well priced and has an endless amount of courses. Golfacheiver had that option at one time and I don't think a lot of folks liked it.

Before I purchased the SkyTrak I had a lengthy conversation with the people at FlightScope when I was considering buying their unit. They told me when the Xi and Xi+ would be sim ready they too would have a monthly subscription option for the sim side of things.
A montly or annual subscription is fine by me especially if the cost of getting into simulation play is large(ie 1k+) but would hope if its reasonably priced they also would have a purchase option.

I know there's an issue with distance in ST and shorter clubs but I find it with pretty much all my clubs (oddly enough more so with longer clubs). Admittedly I'm playing in a freezing cold garage with cold clubs etc and I've experimented with warm clubs and balls but they all seem 10/20% short.
Below left is my driver shot which has a 2 degree lower launch angle and ball sped is 5mph down on ST's app store image on the right but to carry to be 40 odd yards short seems a big difference.

I ran both screen shots through optimal flight and your numbers on skytrak are only off by three yards carry. OF has a 195 yard carry for your shot and 1 yard off line. Thats pretty good.
The SkyTrak screen shot is just that, marketing numbers. They don't jive with OF. That shot should have only carried 214 yds and been offline 11-13 yards. Also ignore all club speed numbers. They use a fixed smash factor calculation (1.45) just like GC2 does without the HMT.Central Time

I have to agree on this one, I would rather bite the bullet once and get the updates, I hate the monthly pick pockets.Originally posted by Bubba22 View PostI have never liked the idea of renting sim software monthly or yearly.
