I found comparable data between 1.7 and 1.8. I found the shot data posted by Spudly in his first video a couple of month ago. I compared it to one of wilson's shots.
As you can see below, Skytrak 1.7, Optimal Flight and Flightscope Trajectory Optimizer shows the same carry distance. However, Skytrak 1.8 is more than 10 yards longer than the other two. Again, there is a problem in 1.8.

I'm betting they didn't look. Saw that they had an issue with the short iron distance, tweaked that until it looked correct and didn't check if it affected any other clubs. I'm wondering where the break is for this issue. I think the first issue was 9iron and below. Now, is it mid irons only or are there problems about 8 iron and above?

All of these numbers have leftward spin on them. It seems to me that left spin seems to travel further on ST than neutral or right spin. Most of my shots have been with slight fade spin. I wonder if that helps to explain that I am thinking that the distances are a lot better in this version than the last?

ST's FB page (https://www.facebook.com/SkyTrakGolf ) have announced their integration with WGT but nothing about Trugolfs E6 or any other sim ¡ I'm suppressed with the PGA show in full swing there isn't more news.Last edited by Jel; 01-20-2015, 09:08 PM.

I guess they got a bunch of programmers from a third world country doing the program without understanding how the golf ball dynamics.Originally posted by Vincent_Vega View PostThanks for the updates, guys. Maybe some of these kids haven't even held a golf club before.....or think the turf hockey is GOLF! All said, SkyTrak should be compensating you early adopters for the field testing. LOL

I played around with the elevation settings a little more last night. It seems that at -3500/-4000 ft my distances with a 7 iron come more inline. At these settings my averages came back down to the mid 180yrd range. I did set them back to the default of 500ft, and hit a few shots over 200 yds, so it does seem to make some type of difference.

Can you please share some shot data for mid irons so that I can compare? That could shed light on the logic of Skytrak's flight model?Originally posted by Mike Z View PostAll of these numbers have leftward spin on them. Ok, here at the PGA show today and stopped by the Skytrak booth, here are a couple of things you should know.
E6 is in no way out of the picture in fact the E6 booth is using Skytraks on their software the two companies are just working out the whole PC conversion process.
I saw the self leveling enclosure and its a nice prototype probably a month or so away
WGT integration is a good couple of months out yet.
Skytrak is aware of distance issues with 1.8 and will make tweaks in future updates.
I am here all day and will try to answer any questions, after talking to the guys in the Skytrak booth I am convinced this is the unit of the future and was very impressed with them.2 Photos

You mention they are aware of the distance with 1.8. Do they have any idea if it's affected only within a certain ball speed or spin range? Also, what about the rollout on the ground in the normal setting. This seems to have went way up as well.

Update, after speaking with Chris Jones of Trugolf they are releasing their cloud based version of E6 next month and Skytrak is one of their first partners. It will be a subscription based service and get this, it will only be $25 a month.

They did not go into detail just that they will be making adjustments in updates.Originally posted by wbond View PostYou mention they are aware of the distance with 1.8.
