Nice video with a great narration!Originally posted by HTTR View PostHey guys, I have owned the SkyTrak for now almost 3 weeks and plan on making some videos showing some footage from my own golf mat in my house to also some shots outside, currently I have one video uploaded and it is an unboxing of the SkyTrak if you are wondering what you get delivered when you order the device, which I attached to this post.

I still think my driver ball speed reads low. Took the ES 12 to a high end simulator in town and it was spot on with the simulator. Within one mph 7 out of 10 shots. 2-3 mph high on the others. Seven iron ball speeds the ES 12, sim, and skytrak are all within reason. The simulator is quite dark, that's why I did not bring my sky trak, didn't think it would work in low light. I'll try it next time.

There are a couple of users complaining about ball speeds of driver shots in this forum. I wish I could hit driver shots in my basement, but I can't. I need to wait a couple of weeks for a warmer day.Originally posted by Lyonduke View PostI still think my driver ball speed reads low. Meanwhile, did you try to adjust the hitting condition a bit? Raising Skytrak a bit or chhanging the ball location a bit as shown below? Under a certain circumstance, we might need to adjust. Hope you figure it out and let us follow your lead.

The Skytrak produces all the light it needs. So it will work in a pitch black environment. For what it's worth I see a difference vs. my vector pro as well on driver shots. (vector pro shows longer carry and total). The assumed club head speed as derived from the ball speed is also lower than Swingbyte. No idea what device is the most trust worthy.Originally posted by Lyonduke View PostI still think my driver ball speed reads low. Skytrak Facebook post a response to a newer app release. We have to wait.... and wait....

Thats Brutal. Was really hoping for even a minor fix or regression soon. Well, i suppose if they nail the issue the extra time should be worth it.Originally posted by hks8888 View PostSkytrak Facebook post a response to a newer app release. We have to wait.... and wait....

Anybody else catch the TruGolf release during a golf show in Denver? They were talking about the release of the "Cloud" and listed the launch monitors they have partnered with. SkyTrak was noticeably absent. Oversight or true?
I've really come to enjoy my SkyTrak as a launch monitor but am now ready for some simulation. Hoping something/anything becomes available soon.

They fixed the short irons rather quickly, you would think that if 1.8.5 is only doing the mid iron correction that it wouldn't take this long. I hope there are other fixes in this release. I think ball flight curvature may be a bit overestimated as well. Based on ball flight observation which is pretty subjective and entering measurements into other software.

Hi guys,
Still plugging away here. We've decided to release only a patch upgrade to v1.8 to address the ball flight issue with mid irons. As you all have seen, making changes to the flight model is not simple nor isolated to a specific shot/club. We want to make sure we have this right. You shouldn't have to wait much longer though.

Debug and engineering takes time if you want things done right. It's just how it is. No one said it was easy otherwise the market will be saturated with launch monitors. I think users are willing to wait as long as they are kept informed as to the progress and what to expect because most of us are in a position where want to decide if we want to stick with ST or move to something else instead of just waiting.

I had an annoying issue today. I was using my Skytrak for a fitting today, it was very sunny and windy. Has anyone else had any problems getting the reading after about 30 seconds? It seemed like the device was not catching the shots but then right before he would hit the next shot the reading would come through. I am using the original Ipad Air but it would never take more than 3 seconds prior to this.

I have an iPadAir 2 and have done network mode and direct mode.
Just came in after a 2h session in the garage. During that time I had 2 issues.
1. The Ipad did not detect the Skytrak in network mode. (this has worked fine for at least 2 weeks) The Skytrak and iPad both found the router and connected. I had to turn off the router to force direct mode and then it just worked. Even network mode works fine now.
2. After the shot laser turned off as usual and top LED turned RED. Shot never displayed and the laser never turned on again. Power cycle the Skytak and it worked fine again.
There has been minor glitches like this in the past but the unit works surprisingly well. Might be that my expectations where low to start with.

Here's a video I just uploaded, it shows some pitching wedge swings and the results I get, thought I am just using a net you can see the path/data seem accurate:
