After getting to a senior sales person at Sky Golf on the premise that I am looking to buy in bulk for a facility, I was told that the folks over there have been told to expect in weeks not months. was also convincingly reassured of financial viability and the fact that there are no new plans for hardware upgrades any time soon. Take that all with a grain of salt but thats's the word. Topook some coaxing so not sure that was off a script.

"After getting to a senior sales person at Sky Golf on the premise that I am looking to buy in bulk for a facility..."
I don't know who has less credibility, the salesperson or you for approaching the manufacturer this way. What do you expect a salesperson to tell a prospective client suggesting they're going to buy multiple units? Especially right now, with so many used units flooding the secondary market...

While I am very satisfied with my Skytrak now for 2 years, I can't help but feel that the lack of representation on this board has certainly hurt the Skytrak brand. One of the reasons I felt as comfortable in the my initial purchase was because of Seth's activity on this board in helping people that had issues or questions. I know there was also someone else for a while posting from Skytrak too. For them to not come out with anything from an update perspective for so long is definitely surprising given that Seth had mentioned at one time or another little things that would be coming in future releases, let alone the unveiling of some of them in Jan 2019 that never came to be. Again, I am happy with the purchase, but Skytrak has definitely come off looking very bad here - not as bad as Ernest Sports with the ES16, 20/20 debacles, but nevertheless, bad. I do hope something official comes out, even if it is something like - Hey guys, we know the unit has some issues, like underestimating distance at ball speeds about 155/160, but we feel that is we change the algorithm at this point, or tweak it too much, we are opening a can of worms we don't want to chase. Last I read Seth took on a new position within Skytrak, but certainly in this new position he would have to realize that by completely eliminating this board of a Skytrak presence would hurt the brand immensely - and that he wouldn't from time to time say something - anything. It's quite surprising. Maybe they are selling so many Skytrak's that they don't care anymore about the small percentage of people on this board - or maybe they are cashing in and riding it until it dies a slow death. Who knows?

FYI, it wasn't Seth's choice to stop posting here. That decision was made higher up in the org.

GungHoGolf so if that is true and seth was told to stop posting here, my guess would be that he probably revealed too much information (regarding upcoming features and/or status of an update). Probably no way to verify that but if he said some things too early or said some things that weren't 100% confirmed, and the higher-up's didn't like it, that would at least make some sense.... and could be tied into why we haven't had an update for so long, as it wasn't nearly as ready as was being reported by seth. All of this is only speculation, a total guess on my part, trying to read the tea leaves.

I doubt that Skytrak's major target demographic currently is GSF board members. Having Seth around here was great and especially helped encourage the earlier adopters, but now most of the people buying the unit have probably just seen commercials and maybe looked up a review or two on one of the major golf sites or youtube. If Seth moved to another position it probably isn't a company priority any more to have a presence here, unfortunately.

I can confirm that the majority of my local clients in Austin, TX who come in to see the SkyTrak in action found me via SkyTrak's dealer locator or via a Google search, and have never heard of GSF or my SkyTrak Users fb group.

I might be the exception, but I reviewed various forums before making decision. I do think people end up here or on your FB user group once they have issues. Google "Skytrak + alignment", and you end up here. Which also gives an unfairly unflattering view of the product. We don't hear from the silent majority who are happily enjoying their working product. I do think ST would save a lot of tech support if they included a one page document on indoor swing and common troubleshooting tips.

Not sure why you would be confident of that when you seduced him with a false narrative of a huge sale.
Also, I would not label something that may happen in "weeks" as "imminent". But I guess it serves as good click bait. I hope you're claim proves correct, but I find your methods and credibility severely lacking. On the other hand, maybe Skytrak deserves this type of tactic for how they've handled things in the last year.

If they aren’t planning to invest in the software they should open source it, and let others move it forward. I like the SkyTrak but with the lack of software enhancements, I’m tempted to switch to a Mevo+, the only thing holding be back is having 2 extra feet to my screen (sounds like you need 8 feet)

Out of interest what is it people are looking for in an update? Aside from the fact there hasnt been one for a long time.
The ball speed issue is a hot topic but is there other things on the wish list people are looking for? The range and tools in the software currently are pretty good if you ask me, especially with the introduction of the randomizer.
