  • SkyTrak v3.4.1 Official Release

    Hi Everyone,

    As you all know, this has been quite a wait - thanks to all of you for your patience! There are a lot of backend changes that needed to happen for v3.4.1, and thus we will be rolling this release out over the next couple of days. I wanted to start with the forum and give you guys first crack at it before it goes live to the public. So below, you can find the PC download links for 32-bit and 64-bit. Please give this a go and let me know if you run into any issues. Assuming all goes smoothly, we will roll out iOS and Android beginning tomorrow.

    v3.4.1 Release Notes

    - Added support for multiple accounts to aid in switching back and forth easily between users and for multiplayer challenges.
    - Added the ability to create a custom golf bag in Profile. You may toggle to this bag in the Practice club selection popup.
    - Improvements to high ball speed measurements (150mph+).
    - Fixed Dispersion Circle display bug in shot plotting screen.
    - Fixed LH display bug in Shot History.
    - Fixed delete shot bug in Practice Greens.
    - Added Internet Availability icon to Dashboard.

    • Can i ask, is there any reason to upgrade, before this version has been running for a while, if i do not have fast ballspeed and only using the basic feature?

      everything is working great as it is and i do not want change anything that ain’t broken.

        If it's just you, then you probably don't need the multi-user support. But I do really like the bag management feature. Custom naming clubs will come in really handy down the road for tracking purposes.

      • I didn't read through all the post to see if this came up or not, sorry if it has. I upgraded to the newest revision that was posted in here.

        But here is the message I just got when logging into TGC. I don't know where to start ProTEE SDK at?

          I deleted then reactivated my license and things cleared up.

      • Is there any reason with the update that when connected to TGC my sky track switches to left handed? Works great any other times.

          Did you check in TGC to see if your avatar (you) is set up as right handed?

          We are working on that now internally to get a system in place to make this easier moving forward (this won't be the last SDK update). We have a lot of partners and want to make it as seamless as possible across the board. I would expect in the coming weeks.

      • So far the update has been good - better reads for me and more accurate distances compared to reality (I only ever use the range) - BUT - after about a half-hour of use it just stops working. The green lights are on and the red laser dot is there - but no tracking on swings. Not sure what the deal is. Basically the machine has seen enough. Possibly telling me to quit wasting my time. I'm trying to not read too much into this...

          I actually ran into this yesterday also. I finally ran the update, used the range for 20-30 minutes, then started a game on TGC2019. Everything was working pretty well until 3 or 4 holes in, the Skytrak just stopped reading everything. Long and short, I started switching clubs and went from regular to putting a few times and kept waving my club thru the IR curtains and it eventually started working again... with zero problems afterward.

          The only theories I could come up with were maybe it's just a bug? Or maybe since I just performed the update, the background database and/or data history import caused a hiccup with processing? Since I didn't encounter anymore errors or mis-reads, I figure it was just a hiccup.

          Have you both checked the Power Management settings in Device Manager for both your SkyTrak unit (listed as Rapsodo) and the USB Root hubs?

          Give that a look and make sure they're unchecked. Otherwise Windows likes to suspend the connection.

          (Edit: This is of course if you're plugged in via USB. If not, you're probably looking at network, or network adapter issues. Could still be power related.)

          There isn't anything in this release that would affect how the SkyTrak reads in TGC, so hiccup would be my guess too Davidmcc did yours stop working in the ST app or TGC? Any recurrences since?

      • I'm using mine with wifi and an iPad pro. I don't think there is a power manager on my ios app. It stopped reading for me today again after about 20 mins. Had to reboot everything and then it started up again. Very frustrating.

        • Try power-cycling the Skytrak without quitting the sim software (TGC19).

          When my skytrak stops reading while in WGT or TGC19, without closing the sim software, I power cycle the Skytrak and after 1/2 a minute or so they sync up again. If in WGT, the sim software automatically re-syncs with the Skytrak. If in TGC19 I open the TGC interface (typically minimized to the hidden icon tray on the lower right side of the screen) and hit reconnect to Skytrak. After that I can resume the golf round in the Sim software.

          • Is anyone still using the skypro with the skytrak? Mine wont transfer the swing speed anymore since the update. Still shows connected and everything just wondering if anyone else has had the issue or knows of any tricks. I know the skypro isn't being supported anymore but was hoping they would keep it in play. Thanks

              Interesting, I haven't messed around with the SkyPro integration in a long time (I didn't know folks were still using it ) Is it just CHS that isn't being imported?

              I used my Skypro this week with no problems at all

          • my update installation froze and a box popped up saying Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) - 11.0.061030 Modify Setup - gives me 3 options -> repair, uninstall, or close. any idea what i should do?

                There was a 'bug' where you could still use Practice with no membership. We fixed that, but it doesn't mean you need to buy a GIP. You simply need to go to the website and get the free Basic membership. I know the messaging in the app says 'you must have a premium membership, and that's a mistake. Will get that fixed with proper messaging.

            • SkyTrak_Seth I have been using E6Connect consistently for 3 weeks and all of the sudden I am getting a message saying that I need to get SkyTrak to authorize my device to use. This started happening right around when I did the software upgrade. I have payed for the package that allows me to us the 3rd party simulator software and have no clue why out of the blue it quit working. I contacted customer support and have been told that ST doesn’t work with the E6 connect demo on iOS. This is bothersome because it worked for weeks. Attached are pictures of the messages that I am getting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Click image for larger version

                There have been many reports that the E6 beta is only 30 days for some people. You said 3 weeks of use, is it possible you could be past the 30 day trial?

                Do you own E6 CONNECT? If not then I agree, it sounds like the demo expired.

            • When adding a second user and you get this screen do I put in my Skytrak password or does the user get his own unique password?
