  • Best club head speed radar?

    Hi,

I have SkyTrak and SkyPro, but the latter has stopped working (won’t charge and is out of warranty).

i am embarking on the super swing speed programme and I would really like to measure club head speed. SkyPro would have done it, but alas, that isn’t an option.

I am looking for a recommendation for a standalone device, taking cognisance that I won’t be hitting balls, but swinging the super swine speed club weight.

My skypro died as a result of battery failure. I ordered a battery from amazon for a few dollars. It took about 20 minutes to insert. As good as new. It wasn't the exact battery, but the dimensions were with a millimetre, and the voltage was same, so good as new. Here is the name of it.
      uxcell® Power Supply DC 3.7V 160mAh 451430 Li-ion Rechargeable Lithium Polymer Li-Po Battery

The most common radar to use with SS is the swing speed radar. Just get the blue one, you don't need the read one with tempo.

For super swing you need to be sure it measures any moving object. I had an SC200 but you need to hit a ball (a foam one worked for me) but given the super speed stock is a weight not a club you can’t really get the SC200 to trigger. I bought the blue swing speed radar and it’s functional for speed training but not much else. I’m not sure if the speed sticks will trigger the PRGR one that’s being advertised now but if so that may at least have a secondary function at the range.

Agreed on the Swing Speed Radar. We’re doing a review on SuperSpeed and the Swing Speed Radar now and have had a positive experience with it.
