Upgraded to 2.0 and the putting is much improved. Still misses the occasional putt or chip from fringe, but not shooting putts out to the right anymore and speed seems much more accurate.
Skytrak and E6 (demo)

Strange... I emailed E6 support to ask which version of the E6 1.6 is for ST and they replied E6 is currently not compatible with ST. So only E6 Demo is working with ST?

My understanding is that full E6 will be released in November. Right now they are still working on licensing with skytrak. That is probably why only the demo is available because its only 1 course and they don't care if you already purchased the GIP or play and improve package from skytrak.
-
The E6 demo should be available for everyone, regardless of whether you bought the GIP. I've been using it since the day I got my Skytrak. But I haven't downloaded either of the iOS or PC apps yet. I just plugged the Skytrak in through the USB cable and selected Skytrak in the demo software setup. I haven't even registered my unit to any SkyGolf account yet either.
-
I was getting at the reason why full E6 is not available is due to skytrak not having a license hook(license being GIP). That is why we are able to use the demo as it doesn't have a license hook.

Is anyone else having issues with chipping? About half of my short chips are hitting the flagstick. In reality, I hit the flagstick less than 1 percent of the time. It makes me feel like the unit and/or software is struggling with horizontal angle, and just assuming it's dead straight.

I haven't been hitting the flagstick, but definitely struggling to find consistency and accuracy in chips (and putts). Very difficult to predict how ST will register a short game shot. As others seem to have similar feedback playing WGT, I suspect it's a ST issue more so than the sim software.

My chipping issues with the E6 demo is that it fails to register any shot less than about a 20 foot chip. If I land in that range, I choose mulligan and re-hit the previous shot. Otherwise I cannot continue without blasting a 40 foot chip when I am only 20 feet from the pin.

Have you tried changing where you place the ball? On very short bump & run shots (where the clubhead follows the ball closely), I place the ball an inch or two behind the laser dot. And on flop-type soft shots, I place the ball an inch or two ahead of the laser dot. I've been able to hit some very short chips this way.
-
Yeah I did try moving the ball around, will try that again and see if I can get a system that works.
The other really bad apart about short chips and puts is that the camera angle is terrible. I cant seem to find a way to move it...is there an option hiding somewhere to make the camera better around the green? Often times putting, you see only the pin, the camera appears to be 10 feet in front of the ball facing the cup. Very strange.
Not too worried about it, I have seen enough of the E6 demo to realize its junk compared to TGC. If TGC has decent pricing, it would be madness to buy E6.
-
I also found that ball placement 2 inches or so behind the laser allowed me to hit soft chips.

Here is some SkyTrak + E6 footage I uploaded to YouTube, also I included my swings on the bottom right corner if interested:SkyTrak and TruGolf E6 Simulation Software footage, which includes swing footage. More information on E6 software: https://goo.gl/ZcBnBv More information on ...

So...I have wgt and it kinda sucks. However, I have scaled the 4:3 image to fit really well on my screen. If I use e6 with a pc, can I keep 4:3 our does it use 16:9? I guess this may have more to do with the video card?

Does anyone know how to make e6 display on a second monitor? I have my projector and a monitor hooked up an it always displays on the monitor. I can duplicate the display but that blows. I've tried changing in Windows 10 which is the primary display to no avail.

I have done this with no problem. I can both duplicate and extend the displays.
Wish I could help

Could Admin please sticky this thread. Thanks.
Have just stumbled across an E6 1.6 update application hiding in the TruGolf folder on my PC.
I ran the 'TruUpdate' app and sure enough it found and installed an update which included .dll files for SkyTrak. Not sure what changes there are but wanted to let you guys know. Let me know if any of you discover what the update actually does. Maybe improved putting and pitching??
Look for the TruGolf folder in C: drive and not the TruGolf folder in Program Files.Last edited by HarryG; 11-01-2015, 11:22 PM.

Good find on the update. I just updated to the latest update of ver. 1.6.16.1.
Putting is still terrible! Here's the video I said I would post of what I'm experiencing with Skytrak and E6 in regards to the inaccuracy.
Most all my putts push right 4 to 10 inches.
See video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6IFicu_KkY
Is everyone else experiencing the same thing with E6? Can anyone post a video showing how your putts are accurate and go straight in E6?

I'm sure some are gonna say it may be because the putter is white, but not sure if that's it or not. I have a question though, are you connected to a micro usb to the computer or just using the Wi-Fi (couldn't tell in the video). I ask because while I don't feel mine is perfect, I haven't had the major right problem. The only time I saw that happen for me is when I was connecting via Wi-Fi in my basement testing the shield I made that would protect skytrak screen and still read all the putts (which I think I actually did decently with and will have to post some pictures/video on the protecting skytrak thread soon), when I was doing that the putts were going all over the place. Once I got it back out to the garage and connected it to the usb those major misses went away. Just something to try if you haven't alreadyOriginally posted by Mike80 View PostGood find on the update. I just updated to the latest update of ver. 1.6.16.1.

Yeah, good thought, but I am connected via micro USB. Everything is level and have all the firmware/software updates. That's why I want to see a video from somebody else that shows all their putts going straight.
I even tested putting by placing the ball 6 inches, then 12 inches then 2 ft back. I did this thinking my putter head would not interfere with the reading. When I did this, I had a couple go straight. I thought I was onto something, but then started getting the big pushes right again..haha! It's frustrating! I was also putting one handed making the video..haha.
For those people that don't have a line painted or anything, maybe move the ball back 6 inches when putting. Then the red laser dot gives you something to aim at for a target when putting. Might help out! I spray painted a dark green line in my turf. Then align my Skytrak to that line each time I start up. The painted line works awesome! Tape doesn't work very well. Just cut out a line a half inch thick and about 17 inches long in a piece of cardboard. Then spray paint a line in your turf. I don't have the line go up to where you place the ball though. I stop the line about 8 inches before it. You can see it in my video I posted above.

Interesting couple of posts. I've just realized that last night I played E6 for the first time without it connected to the SkyTrak using the cable and it was also the first time I've had any issues with putts going astray. Misses were off to the right as I remember. Previously I've only connected using the cable and the only issue I noticed was pitches were landing short.

I believe this is done in your control panel settings. I duplicate my monitor to my projector and it's set at 16:9, then i go into my projector settings and change it to 4:3.
mhage have you tried to set it up to "extend these displays" in the control panel? I think then you would move the E6 program over to your projector? Not sure though, i haven't tried this.Originally posted by goodmatt78 View PostSo...I have wgt and it kinda sucks. However, I have scaled the 4:3 image to fit really well on my screen.
