E6 runs OK on my 4 year old Dell precision laptop that has an Medium performance AMD GPU that is not even close in performance to the mentioned GTX880M.
Never did any deeper analysis on performance because the ST + E6 experience was not even close to what I would consider a good simulator.
Possibly because I was using it without the updated ST firmware.
As a performance reference the same laptop will run PG at the low setting but only at some 35-40 fps. TGC you can set to whatever you want it will not run at any usable frame rate on that machine.
Another reference is the Dell XPS 12 that has a 3rd gen i7 but only the built in Intel GPU.
That thing will not run any of the sim games at a resonable frame rate. So laptop is OK, but you need some kind of external GPU that is typically found in gaming laptops.
