I have $820 into my rig and I have much better rig than is listed in your post. I built it myself. first time build. Watched a couple video's online put it together loaded windows no problem.

LOL I played 2 rounds on it and thought I was recording it. But did not have my xsplit set up correctly. I got one more round at Whistling straits and then I will see if I can get it done. I been asked to do a PG video also I don't want to show favorites so I will get that done prior to Chambers bay also.

I have been really liking all the posts and videos lately. SkyTrak_Seth Is there going to be a chance to demo TGC before purchase or possibly a preorder for it? Any word yet on pricing since release is within 30 days (fingers crossed)? Thanks for the response.

It would make sense that some form of demo for TGC would also be promoted, especially if it has a higher price tag on it.

Is it true you need the $99.00 a year package to utilize the tgc?

I have not heard that. I would doubt if that is true!

The description of the 99$ / year package implies that you need it for simulation. E.g. that will be the way ST gets paid for allowing the sim software to talk to the unit.
But then again what do I know? Just because it says so does not mean it is so.

                      From the product description ...

"This package also opens the door to many optional features in development that are coming soon, such as ability to play some of the best courses in the world in 3D."

How will the SkyTrak version of TGC be suported going forward? Will each iteration have the same version number as software issued for other manufacturers and can we expect updates to be released at the same time? Or is the SkyTrak version a fork which sits independantly? If this is the case, are there enough resources fo a long term support strategy? It seems the SkyTrak version displays data which SkyTrak doesn't measure. Other info such as smash factor which is unchangeable has no purpose when using SkyTrak so will the shot data popup be altered for the final release?

There is one version of TGC maintained and distributed that works for all systems. There is one big cloud database containing all courses, user data and shot data. This allows golfers using different systems/hardware to play with or against each other. Everyone will be using the same version which is distributed, maintained and supported by ProTee.

If you are a Skytrak user you will have some "special" features which are only usable with Skytrak hardware.

Only thing preventing me ordering now is no price point/release schedule for TGC. Happy with all the comments regarding accuracy etc. hopefully not long now

Hoosierdaddy posted in the 18th that barring no major setbacks TGC hopefully will be released within 30 days so that's 22 days away including today. Hopefully within the next week or two we can hear from seth SkyTrak_Seth with an update with pricing points at least. Hoosierdaddy are you able to confirm that beta testing is ongoing or has concluded? Cannot wait to get my hands on some Sim action

ProTee already showed us how simulators communicate with TGC. For a Skytrak developer to add that function and many more to the unit is a piece of cake. That was probably ready a long time ago. What is not a piece of cake is to protect the unit so it can't be hacked. E.g. if you did not pay extra for the sim function then you should not be able to use it.

One way to add protection is to have the unit "call home" to a server and ask if you have the annual subscription that allows you to use the unit for sim play.
Given the Skygolf360 history and issues with data sync. I really hope that was not how they chose to do it. If it is, then I am for sure not going to be among the first to buy.
