Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

Will the sim stuff really just get suddenly released one day with no notice or date given??! Seems hard to believe like they are making it up but I guess likely. And then their sales will be disappointing on some level because people like myself will then have to go find their computer for the sim....and will likely (in my case) decide to wait over the summer and evaluate which to pursue in the fall/winter of 2016-2017. Sad

You are absolutely right on wee988! I'm out and will not buy sim on ST until late fall / early winter now coz I cracked couple of ribs (retrieving drone from tree for my son) and will be out 4-6 weeks by doc's orders (though I did play 18 holes right after cracking my rib coz I thought it was just bruised - hugely painful back 9 though I did birdie a 222 yds par 3 w the broken ribs).
So good luck boyz (and girls coz I think there are couple of ladies on this forum?)! Hopefully you get your ST sim soon as I will be diligently reading your insights before deciding which sim I'll buy later this year.

I will say at least that until PG (I know, wrong thread) is officially released, no integration will be available besides beta testers. So for PG, you can expect no announcement of any kind until they release their software officially.
TGC on the other hand is officially out there, so if any announcement comes next week, my money would be on TGC.

Regardless of the time of year, I'm all over it the day it's out.
Can you really hold off playing Augusta National till the winter?
If so, you have more resolve than me, that's for sure!

Just got confirmation (again) that TGC should be releasing this week. From Sport-trak:
Thanks for your email and yes we anticipate releasing The Golf Club Game integration this week (finally) and TruGolf E6 will be the next simulation partner to release. The Golf Club Game landing page for the website is complete, SKU’s are on the shopping cart and support documentation is ready. Thanks for your patience and continued support and everything should be live this week

Fantastic - yes, waiting on how the putting/chipping work, and the exact delay (in seconds) between SkyTrak and TGC displaying the shot. Can someone that buys it, please film a video showing actual course play on TGC?

Wait a minute. SkyTrak must be connected via USB to play? Why? WGT and E6 allow for WiFi connection. This would be a deal breaker for me and TGC.Originally posted by ryanoneill1 View Post

I just read that in the quick start guide too. Is the usb connection a one time thing? will we be able to use the wifi connection afterwards?

I contacted ProTee United and got this reply: "It will work with WIFI, but we recommend to use a USB cable. Upon release we only support USB connections. We do not have the support organization in place to figure out SkyTrak direct modes, network modes, ip addresses, security, syncing and network routing issues. So if you experience any kind of connection issue you will need to hook up your SkyTrak to USB."Originally posted by arwin View PostI just read that in the quick start guide too. As another alternative I am looking into VirtualHere for a USB via IP solution. I do have that mac mini that I could use simply to route the USB connection to the iMac that will be playing the game. But first I'll try out the wifi setup.

Awesome - let us know how that VirtualHere connection goes... I may need it to connect upstairs by routing everything through WIFI, but I really prefer direct cable connections (such as USB) as I find them much more reliable, and faster - I've done that with all of my entertainment connections, even direct connecting my DVD player to Internet cable by running 30' of Network Cable to it, as it's much better for viewing Videos.
