New Version of SkyTrak Arriving?

Bushnell have now reduced the price of the lunch pro to $2,999.99 (down from 3.5k) so the new skytrak+ is now completing directly against it. Maybe Bushnell reacting to the Sytrak+ or market forces due to the recession (cannot sell at higher price) or they are coming out with something new again and trying to get ride of stock, who knows. Only time can tell if the Skytrak+ can complete against the BLP in terms of accurate features but they are now completing against a more established professional grade unit at their chosen price point.

From what I have read and on youtube: just like skytrak there is a way to not have the Bushnell extra subscription and have a sim.
-
yes you can use it w/o the annual sub and still, but it gates certain data points like spin (backspin, side spin, tilt axis), club path, and AoA

According to their website, there are several packages for BLP. The launch pro itself includes basic metrics like ball speed, carry distance, total spin, H Launch angle, V Launch angle, Club head speed, smash factor built in. Nothing else. You get this Basic subscription free for the first year. After the first year, if you want any metrics beyond those built into the system, you must pay $249 per year.
WIth the basic subscription, you get spin tilt axis, back spin, side spin, club path (stickers), angle of attack (stickers) and with FSX Basic software that is included with this subscription, you can also get total distance, offline distance, descent angle, peak height, and barometer.
The Gold package is $699 per year which gives you the Basic metrics, plus you get an upgraded version of FSX 2020/FSC Play. You get the Gold package for 30 days after purchase.
ACCORDING TO THEIR WEBSITE, "SIMULATION ALLOWED" requires the Gold package. I don't understand this since FSX Pro basic is included with the basic subscription. Presumably, this allows some built in simulation within the FSX program. I went to the FSX website and it is less than clear what you get with just the basic FSX pro. The BLP site also has a chart that shows "standard range" is only included with the Gold package. Does this mean there is no range included with the unit itself, or with the basic package? I would think the FSX pro basic must have a range. You also appear to need at least the basic package to get dispersion circles.
(Of course, if you unlock the unit by paying $3,499, everything is included.)
In short, it would seem to me that the true competition for the BLP is the Foresight GC3 rather than the Skytrak+. The basic unit without at least the Basic subscription is pretty meager on features. Or at least that's my take on it. Others may differ.

It sounds like you can use either ST/ST+ or BLP with GSPro "off label" with the connection utility for a pretty reasonable price. I am certainly thinking more about BLP than ST+ to upgrade my ST but not in so much of a hurry now that golf season is here! This will be a project for the October time frame.Originally posted by CAPDAK View PostUgh. Yes, Bushnell LM is now 2999. But for those who balked at Skytrak’s annual subscription prices, Bushnell costs $249 per year just to use. (First year free). If you want the gold package with simulation and much of the data, it’s $699 per year if I understood their website. You can pay a onetime fee of $3495 to unlock the unit and not have a subscription. If I had $6500 to plop down, this would be a no brainer over the skytrak.

Did Bubba address that too? I posted extensively, as did a another user who had lots of data. Skytrak never acknowledged it. If you watch the TXG Skytrak review, you can see the bug in action. It requires ball speeds in excess of 125 mph, at around 20 degrees VLA. When those conditions are met, spin is quartered. The reverse can also happen. Slow high launching drives spin quadruple.Remember the crazy 220 yard 7i bug?
The fact you could speak with authority on your testing at least gave some solace to those thinking they bought a lemon.

Any updates on your order? I assume you ordered directly from Skytrak? I pre-ordered mine through Playbetter.com and have only received and email saying they are expecting them to arrive by the end of the month and they’ll start shipping at that time. I probably should have done the trade in program myself because I’m in the Air Force and stationed in Europe. My ST has been in a box since we moved over here because we don’t have the ceiling height to setup my simulator stuff. Hoping someone will post a video of the ST+ outside with testing because mine will be used outside exclusively in a golf hitting cage until we move back to the States next summer.Originally posted by PunchoutPro View PostSkyTrak confirmed a new unit is on the way with a trade-in program. The delay of the shot is really sad. With the computing capabilities of today's processors, it's unacceptable. I measured several shots in the video on youtube and all delays were over 2 seconds.
To me, no improvement in this regard over the original ST.
The new ST+ is a disappointment to me.

I don’t mind a little delay. A second to think about my swing and direction before looking up is not a bad thing for me. It does seem quicker from what I can tell but in a perfect world I’d make it an optional setting.
