Perfect Golf (beta) for Skytrak

Perfect Golf might look like a great game but has way too many bugs, even for an early access game still under development. It has a very long way to go before it can be mentioned in the same sentence as TGC, E6, ProTee and Red Chain. There is no AI, no stats, no tournament play and online play servers crash frequently. It currently has 10 courses and no stable (commercially) released version.

Price is unknown, but keep in mind you will be buying a beta product.

What dont get is that skytrak and TGC is stickied and this isnt. This is an honest question, i just dont get it. Is it a matter of other suppliers funding this site or what? And i dont mean that as anything negative, just so i understand what forces that drives this forum.

It should not be difficult to understand that we want quality discussions on golf simulator products, brands, manufacturers, launch monitors and everything else related to golf simulation?

Manufacturers are willing to participate in discussions and provide additional support here, but not if we do not treat them (and each other) with some respect. Just keep your frustrations at home and bash on a forum that allows you to.

I don't get it, I have just re read most of the thread , there are a lot of people who have admiration for PG as its a great game and many of us have posted our opinions to help users who may otherwise feel like TGC is the only viable option, and this has ruffled a few feathers of the TGC crowd, but it is hardly an unmoderated chatbox.

An absolute disgrace that this thread has been unstickied IMO - it just shows a massive conflict of interests and bias from TGSF to TGC.

I don't think GSF tries to hide their relationship with TGC. This forum is owned by Pro Tee United, everyone knows that.

Sorry you're wrong. Its owned by a sister company. However its completely irrelevant. All major brands (hardware and software) are represented here.
Yes we host TGC tours, but neither we or any TGC user here are bashing or trolling PG or ANY other brand or model.

Your forum rules are a bit vague. It might be helpful to update those rules with details that I've seen posted in replies elsewhere in the forums, for example regarding advertising, I've seen GSF_Admin replies that go into more detail. Users shouldn't have to read your posts to know the rules. Regarding bashing, I don't know. How do you define that? We are human beings not robots. I agree with others. This is heavy handed. But it's your forum. I'm just telling you what I think others are likely thinking. I suspect some are a bit afraid to say what they think at this point.

I just read through the rules again and don't see anything amiss. I see it's aim is to make this an informative forum and not some cheap argumentative site like you see around the net all the time. I don't think they need to force everyone sit around the campfire holding hands, but they don't need the "overly" negative talk and threats of going elsewhere or else talk either. I guess they are trying to find that happy medium. I also don't really get the concern with the sticky issue either. Does it really matter if its not a sticky topic? If its important to you, then it will be on your subscribed threads and it will be important to you. I'm sure when PG comes out, it will be a sticky again. This is a very good forum, and without it and everyones input, I would not have the simulator that I have and I probably would have messed it up the first time around. Well done to everyone. I also would not have had the help from product manufacture that I have had without this form. I guess this is off topic now. I hope I don't get in trouble for this GSF_Admin. Cheers/Sorry.

Getting back on topic....
Apparently there are some modifications being made to the Skytrak Wrapper for PG (conjecture: in response to the serial check, and image capture process for shots) and it's slated for review.
So it's not 'stuck' at the moment, work was being done to address the quality of the final release. So thats a positive!

Agreed - I'm still hopeful that we get full release to skytrak owners very soon!

Well I don't know about you but I'm not at all interested in getting a "full release" (pun intended) from skytrak. Ha ha ha. :P

One more week is almost gone waiting for PG...I'll continue waiting until all options are available to take the right decision....

I can honestly play Wade Hampton with my eyes closed. It hard to bother playing mouse clicking golf when you have a sim sitting there. I hope they release Monday, then the fun begins!

The beta closed to new members weeks ago. I don't know how many Skytrak users are in the beta but a handful of people found out about it literally a day too late.

what do you mean? I'm probably out of touch. Trying to not watch the kettle not boiling. From what I can tell, PG is trying to do what others, not naming names, aren't doing. Fixing all the bugs before release. Only time will tell.
