Perfect Golf (beta) for Skytrak

Perfect Golf might look like a great game but has way too many bugs, even for an early access game still under development. It has a very long way to go before it can be mentioned in the same sentence as TGC, E6, ProTee and Red Chain. There is no AI, no stats, no tournament play and online play servers crash frequently. It currently has 10 courses and no stable (commercially) released version.

Price is unknown, but keep in mind you will be buying a beta product.

If/when PG release their Skytrak version I will be a very happy man 😉

Swallowing $1k for TGC is pretty hard to stomach for me right now so a more reasonably priced sim especially if it's PG will be great.

I have given up on a good sim (E6 on FS just isnt good enough imo) for my Flightscope and received my Skytrak yesterday. Previously played simgolf on both PG and TGC and will most certainly wait for PG to launch.

I am not saying PG is better (or worse) but the price point is just to good compared to the competitors.

Will build my studio on the backside of my house and move both the sim and FS there and my club shop as well.

Will be a busy spring/summer but in july i will have it all setup as i want it.

Have now ordered skytrak hardware and really looking forward to playing PG , but may buy TGC on the year lease to tide me over if PG is not released by end of March.

Have you purchased TGC Hogan? My skytrak will be shipping on 15th March so may see if the range can keep me busy for a bit, but I am not sure I will be able to wait long after seeing all of these folks here playing the tour

What dont get is that skytrak and TGC is stickied and this isnt. This is an honest question, i just dont get it. Is it a matter of other suppliers funding this site or what? And i dont mean that as anything negative, just so i understand what forces that drives this forum.

Hosting, maintaining and moderating a forum is a lot of work. This thread is the only thread on this forum that is being misused to forward users to competitive forums, to advertise products for free and to bash other products and users on this forum. I feel this forum is way over-moderated. Maybe thats why its so much work :-)

There should be no ban on discussing (or linking) to competitive forums. Bashing other products, that part of the exchange of info that should happen on a discussion forum. Advertise products...yeah maybe that is bad but the other stuff you mentioned feels exactly like the purpose of a discussion forum.

There is alot of good info here. Alot of people, myself included, have spent thousands of dollars based on this info (skytrak+ tgc for me, plus all the other odds and ends...net,mat, screen, projector etc etc etc). So its good to have a place to talk about golf sim stuff. Its a good forum. Just too much moderation.
