  • Perfect Golf (beta) for Skytrak

Perfect Golf might look like a great game but has way too many bugs, even for an early access game still under development. It has a very long way to go before it can be mentioned in the same sentence as TGC, E6, ProTee and Red Chain. There is no AI, no stats, no tournament play and online play servers crash frequently. It currently has 10 courses and no stable (commercially) released version.

Price is unknown, but keep in mind you will be buying a beta product.

  • Bubba22 originally you stated in this thread that you were testing PG with Skytrak back in August. Are you still testing is there any update on how its going?

Testing ended and now new tests with the security system. It's coming but not sure when.

    • Has anyone tried to use Skytrak with Perfect Golf early access? I'm asking because you can select Skytrak (also Trackman 3 and 4) from the Settings/Control -menu and Rapsodo starts imediately. When you start playing selected course, Skytrak is showing red light in the bottom right corner of the PG because I don't own one.

When I restart PG having Skytrak as my controller, the menu is all black, but when I change my controller to mouse and then back to Skytrak, everything seems to work again.

      SO MY QUESTION IS!!??

Does PG require some kind of validation code with ST or does it already work with Skytrak like E6 demo does? I can't understand why no one has ever commented about this matter. Maybe bacause they know ST already works with PG and doesn't want to tell. I'm thinking to by ST, so this information would be valuable.

So some one who has both PG and ST, can you please check this?

Your Skytrak serial number needs to be activated for PG to work. PG checks your serial number when Skytrak is selected as the controller.

    • Thanks for answering!
Does that mean it works? Or does it work only if my ST serial is in the list of beta testers?

      • Only if you're a beta tester.

Currently beta testing is closed to the general Skytrak public.

        • We are working hard to get SkyTrak to release it to everyone. We have just got the SkyTrak working with our 64bit version of the game and we are hopeful it will be released very soon

If those are your own words...then can you please do something to make the long term price more affordable...

If you are quoting someone else...well then never mind.

Hopefully both of them, 64 bit version of PG and ST integration for everyone.
            Thanks for the information!

        • Holy smokes, ANGC is coming along nicely. I cannot wait for this. Rumored to be based on the iconic Links LS version and with full topographic LIDAR data. Closest I'll ever get to the real thing:

          • Is ANGC playable on the demo for PC or beta? That we can play?

A few weeks was the authors estimate.

          • I know you're excited about PG but have you actually compared this to the real thing? Do you have a good photo? The photos I found on the Masters site didn't seem overly similar. But maybe I got mixed up and looked at the wrong one.

It's the 6th hole Juniper. Looks pretty darn close to me.

            • The legend in your screenshot says Hole 18.

In course forge designer, it has overlays that don't pertain to the actual hole. Since the designer may be doing other parts of the course as they take screenshots.

OK, that makes sense. I really wasn't seeing much similarity to hole 18 hence my questions. It does look a lot more like hole six alright. Thanks.

            • Strange image. Why does it say hole 18 when it is clearly six? Still looks great

              • Overall I'm excited by the possibility that it's erily accurate. Since it's based on topographic data rather than eye test.
TGC has a beautiful version too, but to my knowledge their design tools as yet don't have the topographic options that this level of detail could entail.
I've heard they will at some point , but regardless, this is something I am dying to get my hands in before the tournament this year!

                • I have been to Augusta twice and walked the entire course. I never played it obviously. TGC version of Augusta is the best and most accurate I have seen. The topographical detail is spot on. It is really good. Hopefully PG version turns out good as well.

                  • We are getting close to release of "Skytrak with PG" simulation.
