  • SkyTrak @ PGA Show 2016

    Figured I'd get this rollin'.

Taking centre stage, literally, at SkyCaddie’s booth #1301 at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, will be the highly-rated and award-winning SkyTrak personal launch monitor / golf simulator.

Since stocks reached the UK in November 2015 SkyTrak has drawn consistently positive reviews from the golf clubs and golfers who placed an early order, and the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show represents the perfect opportunity for UK PGA professionals and retailers making the trip to Orlando to try it for themselves.

And one visitor to the SkyCaddie booth will walk away with a valuable bonus this year, as everyone who has a SkyTrak demonstration at the 2016 PGA Show will be entered into a free prize draw to win their own SkyTrak system.

Alongside SkyTrak will be SkyCaddie’s world-class line-up of GPS distance measuring devices, set to be boosted by some new GPS product announcements to be made at this year’s Show. SkyCaddie’s popular SkyPro, now firmly established as golf’s leading personal swing analysis and training device, is expected to be another big attraction.

“Although it has only recently come into general use, SkyTrak is already being acknowledged as truly game-changing new golf technology throughout the industry” said SkyCaddie’s Senior Vice-President International Sales & Marketing, Jacqui Surman.

“With more and more PGA professionals now using SkyTrak for club fitting and coaching, and with the fast-growing amount of golf courses available to play through SkyTrak in golf simulator mode, SkyTrak’s powerhouse features set at an equally powerful price point is proving unbeatably attractive – and we’ve only just got started as regards using SkyTrak to its full potential.

“It will undoubtedly be one of the stars of this year’s Show, and we expect it to attract a large number of first-time visitors to our booth – where they will also find our best-ever line-up of GPS devices and the ever-impressive SkyPro too”.

Tom Field, Head Pro at The Wychwood GC in the Cotswolds, was one of the early adopters of SkyTrak in the UK. “In the first week I would say that we sold nine extra sets of golf clubs because we had a SkyTrak on hand, so it’s been a revolution already in that aspect” he said. “I already view our SkyTrak as essential for our custom-fitting operation here.

“SkyTrak does what other far more expensive launch monitors do, but at a fraction of the price. With the added simulator functions, it will help us to expand our business and offer a buying and entertainment experience which the internet cannot offer”.

Tom Atkinson, Head PGA Professional at Heswall GC on The Wirral, was another of the first UK customers for SkyTrak. “In just the first week I used SkyTrak to do a wedge gapping fitting, and entertained a group of golfers with a Nearest The Pin challenge when the course was temporarily closed during torrential rain” he said. “We’ve already sold one SkyTrak to a member, with another group pledging to club together to buy one for shared use.

“The SkyTrak graphics are simply stunning. We easily hooked it up to our big TV and had no problem running the WGT Golf sim software, which looks incredible and very lifelike. Also, as there are no cameras to set up, it’s a piece of cake to switch it for a left-hander to use.

“It’s an incredibly good piece of kit which we will use a lot this winter, let alone during the season. I already feel that SkyTrak is adding value to our memberships at Heswall GC, which is absolutely crucial these days”.

So it will be all about the device, but nothing about other simulation integration ? Big bummer...

Before the speculation gets out of control...I'll be there. Come see me. We'll have 3 sim bays and I'll let you hit on whatever simulation partner you would like to hit on

I'm now drooling at the chance to try TGC and/or PG here soon. I know it might not happen as soon as some (including myself) have heard, but man that would be awesome.

Markets are getting killed every day - I could really use a distraction. TGC would do the trick.

Maybe check out the TGC thread, that's where you'll get updates.

Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that

I'm personally EXTREMELY excited about next week. In my honest opinion many of us wouldn't have ever purchased a launch monitor if it weren't for Skytrak. Prices were just simply out of the normal buyers range. But then, we had a VERY EXCELLENT monitor at a fraction of the price of previous monitors. This was a game changer...

The mistake was in telling is that we could have more at a great price, a price that used to be 10x what we have paid so far. We believed in "why not"? Why can't skytrak change the game once again? Well, I believe they are about to. I believe that by the end of next week we will all be able to play incredible sim golf in our homes for a small percentage of what we ever could have expected. I believe. I have a dream! (Maybe a day late with this post but I believe this will be true nonetheless). I can't wait to lead this dream with each of you. Golf as we know it will be changed forever.

Very Well Said. After having my skytrak for a few weeks now and working out the distance bugs and figuring out ball placements ect I am starting to enjoy the data it is giving me, If I could play a round or two on top of that it would be amazing. I have played the e6 demo about a dozen times now and frankly if that is all I had to get me through the winter I would be happy but having more would surely be a plus.

Tekbud - if you're serious - that was inspiring
If you're joking - that was hilarious.

luv2golf do you know if players with the same SIM software but differing hardware can compete in the same tourneys or play head to head online? e.g PG player 1 (GC2) player 2 (ST).

Yes they can. Same with TGC...by the way. Once TGC is released for Skytrak, you'll be able to play against any simulation hardware that is officially supported. Right now it's GC2 and Protee players on TGC.

PG has setup where some events you can even play against the PC players (mouse click) as well, not that you'd want to compete with guys hitting 300 yards with the dispersion of a large bed sheet....but it's there!

So first off, no Seth didn't take over my account. Secondly - I may have had a few cocktails prior to writing that post and it was meant to be inspiring, however delusional I was at the time of writing it. I am hopeful, however also realistic. I let my span of reality end for a few while writing. Looking back, it will be pretty hilarious if by the end of next week we hear nothing. I just can't believe that will happen. Glad you all enjoyed!

I prefer ebay myself, amazon rubbed me the wrong way when they gave my phone number to some seller I left a bad review for, if you cant leave an honest review without being harassed by the seller over the phone to change it daily whats the point in have reviews?

As a matter of fact I may have purchased a new projector for my garage last night on ebay at about 11:30, I dont remember it but my email says otherwise.

anyone at the pga show please check out putting and chipping from the fringe!! I've just abandoned an E6 game on the 3rd, I'm stuck on the fringe i've hit around 30 putts and now 10 chips, none register.
A sim that cant putt or chip isn't worth 20 dollars let alone a 1000.

Shortest chip I can hit on e6 is 20 feet, a bump and run 8-iron. However, I was able to pull off a 14 wedge the other night on a flat surface. Couldn't repeat it though.

I just set it to computer decides and leave the chipping and putting to the random gods. I haven't had a simulator experience in putting I found even close to accurate anyway, they all have like concrete speed greens. I hit a put that rolls 6 feet on my floor that's just padding with felt over it and it runs out 30 feet on the sim.
                      Working...
