  • Software version 2.2

So, last I heard the new version was with Apple and was due to be released after the PGA show, any news on when, now that we are 'after'? To say I'm chomping at the bit is understating it somewhat.

Really off topic, but any of you who ordered direct from Skygolf, how long did it take for your unit to arrive, or should I say ship after ordering?

Thanks! Pulled the trigger on it. Hitting bay at a local golftec has one they use in their lessons...I was able to hit a few...not all shots registered, but may have been setup. Guy at golftec was also having me hit with laser on top of ball!?!?!... Ball should be on laser and top of tees for driver? Anyway, looking forward to it arriving. Ordered last night but no shipping as of tonight

i put the ball just barely on my side of laser dot so that i don't see it or any red light from it. As for the driver i don't put the light on the tee. You would have to raise the entire ST to do that and make sure the tee was 11.5-12.5 inches from device. If you don't raise device the tee would be too close to ST. Easier to just tee it up and swing away or if it's not reading cause your ball speed is too fast tee it up an inch to the right of the laser dot if your right handed. It rarely misses a shot in my basement but it did miss a few in the dome. Either i didn't get it set up as well or it was the lighting in there and the yellow balls. I think it was the lighting. Congrats and I'm sure you will be as pleased with it as i am.

That laser would be annoying to look at if placed on top of the ball. Not sure what he was thinking.

I have learned the hard way that a Golftec instructor is not always the smartest guy in the room.

Early on, while trying to learn how to make consistent contact with my driver, my instructor said "well, you just kind of have to drive the driver into the ball."

Another time, when working on proper grip, no matter how I held the club my club face was always closed. I could grip the club away from the ball so that the club face was extremely open, but as soon as I addressed the ball the club face was back at its closed position. His expert instruction told me to "just open the club face." I had to figure out how to fix that problem on my own.
