  • Do these numbers look correct?

My mat sucks and I am blaming the bad numbers on that and rust from not playing in a month. These are from a 5 hybrid

    Correct compared to what?

If your mat is the problem, then you should be feeling or hearing the bad (usually fat) contact with the mat. Although, with a 5H, you should be picking it fairly clean without much divot.

Here are PGA and LPGA tour average numbers from Trackman... I find them helpful for personal comparisons. (Unfortunately, as a 6'3" 215 lb male, I'm too often closer to LPGA numbers than PGA numbers.)

lol I'm almost the same size and those girls got nothing on me.. well, except they can hit it straight
I actually felt pretty good looking st their numbers and seeing I'm pretty much spot on with them haha

I feel like the launch angle is lower than what I viewed this past season outdoors and the distance is off. I can hit the 5 hybrid 175-200 outdoors. But my back has been sore and I am rusty. I do tend to hit down on the ball which is much different mat vs. grass

That ball speed is very low and represents that carry

You gotta be hitting it like crap if you hit it that far outside.

The unit is fine I believe - your deviation and differences in launch/spin explain why your carry number is that off - theyre extremely inconsistent

I hit some wedge shots and the numbers were spot on. I think I am nervous about hitting the ball indoors into a net in my garage with the longer clubs

Looks correct to me...low ball speeds...still a fair distance when you get it up in the air with a good launch angle.

I bought "Optimal Flight" spreadsheets which showed nearly exact same distances for carry, given the ball speed, launch angle and ball spins from SkyTrak. So, the only question in my mind is whether or not the SkyTrak accurately measures the ball speed, since my ball flight shapes do match real life.

good news is that ball speed should be the easiest thing to get right. Identify the ball, find the center, measure the distance between center points in photos vs time, and voila!

Would there be a difference hitting in a room that is 75 f vs 40 f in temperature?

A small difference if the ball's are actually that temperature. But if you store the balls inside at room temp and take them out with you to hit they won't be that cold so negligible.

You'll probably lose more distance because YOU'RE cold...not just the ball.

yes there would be - because your balls are sitting out there in the cold (this might be 5ish yards on driver carry) - temp affected air density wouldn't be pronounced because it does not track full flight - but your temp setting in the skytrak menu could make up for all of this
