Which do you prefer? Now that E6 Connect is becoming available for GCQuad, I'm trying to decide which to buy. I already have FSX 2020, which is great for the range, but the graphics are a bit lacking and I want my guests to have the "wow" factor when they come over for sim golf.
I already own TGC, so I'm looking at a $500 upgrade to TGC2019, vs $2500 to buy E6 Connect (and maybe a subscription fee to boot if I want more courses.) The big negatives with TGC2019 are that it isn't guaranteed to work, being an unsupported program with a third party interface that recently had some issues. That and it is an adaptation of a video game, rather than being a full blown sim. I know that it has a massive amount of courses, however, my experiences with TGC had me mostly playing the courses that came with it, as I found almost all of the user created courses to be disappointing, so that isn't as big of an influence in this decision for me. And as a small thing, I hate playing from the ball. I really like having the program know the dimensions of my simulator enclosure and starting the sim flight from the screen position at impact. I also like the almost zero delay I've seen E6 have.
So, I'd like to hear some thoughts from those who use both!
Thanks,
Bob
