Building a Protee Golf Simulator Computer

I'm curious Z. I need to get a new PC. The published computer specs are far below the above I believe. What is the benefit of going with the above and what is the drawback with going the minimum route?

2 Quick questions...
1) CPUs: Is there a big enough benefit worth the extra cost between the AMD FX-6300 and the AMD FX-8350 processors?

2) Video Cards: There are some good deals out there on the Radeon video cards, how do they compare to the GeForce GTX? Which series would be comparable to the GeForce GTX 670,770?
(Is the Radeon R9 270X Gaming, any good - otherwise looking at the MSI Radeon R9 290 Gaming 4gb)

Upgraded to Win8.1 64 bit today. Clean install on a 500 gig SSD. Just finished installing Protee and tweaking the interface now.

Nice. Btw, I overclocked my GTX 670 by 100mhz and got about 6 more fps. Not bad.

HB just updated their feature requests status. Crossfire/SLI made it on the list but in there as low priority. Good news is there's hope.

Question now is should I dump my Nvidia cards for two AMD cards or just build a new PC with SLI capable(16X2)?

Dax was right. What a pain in the a.... Besides, that it turns out my motherboard only supported AMD's Crossfire. No support for Nvidia's SLI.

I found these deals on woot.com for factory reconditioned HPs. I've decided that it will be likely next season that I can purchase a ProTee system and when that time comes, I'd likely upgrade the video card and the power supply to match the builds I've seen on this forum. At these price points and with the research I've done, the cost to build custom vs. buying one of these and upgrading is at worst comparable but more likely cheaper going with one of the models below:

Would these be a good buy with intent to upgrade when necessary?

This is pretty much what I did only I got one new with a GTX650 on black friday last year from BestBuy. It was perfectly fine to run Protee as is. Now I've dropped a GTX760 with a new power supply and I can run TGC no issues at detail 4.

Throttle, not sure I would go for a 770 unless it has a good price drop. From what I see on new builds the price difference for a 770 TP a 970 is not that much. With the 970 being a better option might be worth the few extra dollars. Also, with the 970 you may be able to do 4k in the future.
