I never posted my last update here....I am very happy with the outcome of this project for the $$$$ and time that I have in it. It isn't perfect, but I did well with the available real-estate. The room is 14X14X9 and was my 1st floor office. I will pull up the carpet and put down wall to wall putting turf and sink the hitting mats over X-mas break.

Great looking room Matt. I have an almost identical size room that I'm wanting to convert into a golf sim & would love for it to look half as clean as this.

How far away is your net from the back wall?

Is the impact screen hung against the net?

And what brand net & screen did you use?

What model projector did you use?

          Thanks....Doug

What screen and netting did you use. What was your setup to secure the screen and net. I am trying to do this exact thing. Is the screen holding up?
          Thanks

It is a custom archery net by WCN and the screen is HQ by Par2Pro. I mounted slotted angle from HD to the walls and ceiling joists and the net and screen attach directly to the angle using bungies.

Screen still looks new. Mine is 8 inches from wall. I mounted the net with decent tension and the screen with very little tension.

I'm completely done! I finally got around to installing my turf and sinking the cups. Even the wife is impressed with the final product.

That looks great goodmatt! I'm going to hit you up with a couple questions. What kind of material did you use to frame in the screen with the black outline? What kind of green carpet did you get and did you use any underlayerment? How far away is your ball position to the screen? The room looks great, I like all the wall decor too. My son and I ordered a couple fat head wall posters to get us started and I'm looking for some Pebble Beach artwork. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Frame outline: made my own...marine vinyl from joannes cut to final shape, then black trunk carpet glued and sewed top the vinyl. Using both gives it substance and crisp clean edges. Velcro also sticks to it for mounting.

I used synlawn precision putt turf (dave peltz product). It installed easily and rolls super true. I put directly on the subfloor, but used 1/2 inch carpet shims to help with the transition to my CCE mats.

                  I hit from 7-8ft back.

I just started collecting golf towels for my room. The posters I dry mounted (search youtube) and put in $30 frames from michaels.

A golf store was closing so i purchased some sim room "bling"! Club rack, bench and signs. Now i just have to hang the signs, probably should finish the walls first.

Here is mine. It is all done. Side curtains will slide out of the way. The screen and ceiling curtain also slide out of the way so you would not even know this set up is here. Now the wife can get her car inside. Synlawn tee line rolls up and sits in front of screen. Picture is cable TV that I also have hooked to screen so I can watch golf when working in garage.

What did you use for the side curtains? Thinking of adding a side curtain in my garage.

I ordered online from home depot so that I could get tall ones. I could not find anything in the stores that were tall enough. They are double walled. Model # 71144-142-402-108

pwade3, Your setup is the perfect blueprint for what I am wanting to do in my garage. Its a one door 2 car garage. Are the curtains enough to slow balls down or do you have netting added to the sides as well? Also, is your screen facing the actual garage door? Mine will have to face it and I am trying to figure out a way to build a frame I can attach the screen to that will lift up and down (attach to hooks on the ceiling when not in use). I will probably just use a net for the ceiling.

Nice pwade3 !! I see you were watching some Sony Open last night as well.

How much was your tee line ? Does it work well for hitting shots off of it?
