  • Best mat I've ever hit off of, wow!

I'm in the process of building my golf sim and have been using old mats from when I was a Golf Course Superintendent. I'm a 50 year old with a 10 handicap with the old system...if that matters. I've also got a wrist that is so bad that when the doctors look at my MRI, they all say...wow, that's impressive since it's so bad. So yes, I need all the cushioning I can get if I want to hit a couple hundred balls at a time off a mat and live to tell about it.

I purchased a CCE mat after reading about it here on this site and ordered through Costco for $450. Then I went to my old club where I was the Super....and they bought new mats which changed everything for me. They were so good that the next day I called the Pro to ask what he purchased. It's the Quattro Mat from Wittek Eagle One....a company I used to buy things from so I was familiar with them. Top notch products for sure.

So I ordered one and will be returning my CCE mat back even before I try to compare. I paid $399 for the Wittek Quattro plus another $100 for shipping. Next day after I ordered (ouch), they went on sale for $325. Get yours now.

Just thought I'd throw this post out there for others that are old and have pain like I do so that there is a solution...the Quarrto!

    Play well.

I ordered this mat straight from the manufacturer in China. https://ytyuhe.en.alibaba.com/produc...72e165c0yADQfl

They custom cut me an 18"x53" section to replace the hitting surface of my current mat and it was about $100 shipped and only took a week or so to arrive. I would highly recommend this mat it is not punishing on the elbows at all.

How was the ordering process with Alibaba? I’ve debated using them but haven’t started an order yet with one of the vendors.

The listed contact person on that page Steven Huang Yantai YGT Co., Ltd. works directly at the manufacturer. After a couple of emails back and forth and payment through PayPal it was an easy transaction.

Have you tried fiberbuilt or truestrike??

Does the alibaba one feel better than either fiber or truestrike?

I also have Fiberbuilt and Truestrike mats. I use the YGT-3D golf mat most of the time but will throw in the Fiberbuilt insert every now and then to switch it up. Here is a direct link to the company where you can find Steves email in the contact info. http://www.yuhegolfmats.com/products/

I contacted them through Alibaba and asked for two 60" x 60" mats and Steve responded and said freight cost is too much for small quantities. Didn't give any prices, just didn't want to sell I guess.

Guessing you wouldn't want to stand on this turf if you purchased a 5x5 square?
Has anyone compared this to True Strike or DIY gel?

I asked for a quote for an insert: 12" x 35" to be interchangeable with my 1x3 fiberbuilt. Given a quote of $25 plus $45 shipping. Will remeasure my cutout and likely order one. I am also concerned that it might be too soft/squishy to stand on but would be great to hit off of. Might get two inserts for that shipping price I assume shipping would be the same for 2.

Was hoping for a better discount or any discount for a larger purchase. Each quote was for same price per insert and just escalating shipping cost. Not sure the price savings is significant enough for the time and cost to reship everywhere.

Ericft - did you get your quote from Alibaba or http://www.yuhegolfmats.com/products/?

I asked him for a couple quotes as well (I was thinking 2'x4' and gluing to a 0.5" interlocking foam which would butt up against my CCE mat, this way it could be rotated when it wears)

This is email I got back from Steven. Not sure bulk by is worth the cost. I don’t think I would want to get a full pallet and get it shipped by sea.

                    Hi Eric,

As a factory ,we hope you can purchase them in a pallet by sea to save the freight cost

5-6 of the same size are the same cost USD25.00/pc, but the express cost will be much expensive

                    Kind regards,

                    Steven

This was earlier email about 2 pieces.

                      Hi Eric,

If 2 pieces, the producing costs are USD50 and the express cost is USD71.00, Total amount is USD121.00

                      Kind regards,

                      Steven

If this other mat is anything like the Quattro Mat from Wittek (it looks the same)....you can stand on it just fine. Is it soft, yes. I didn't notice it being squishy but it feels great when you hit a shot. It's really amazing how you can hit a shot like you're taking a divot. It's a whole game changer for me on mats...unbelievable!

The one I stood on and hit off of, and the one I bought is 59" x 59".
