  • More Mevo+ Shipping Delays

Ordered mine from Rain Or Shine Golf on 2/17 and was expected to ship late March. Received an e-mail this morning saying Flighscope has pushed all of their time frames out another month and I should expect mine to ship out late April. So from order date to expected shipping date is roughly 8 weeks.

Anyone else seeing this? Hopefully all re-sellers are sending the same messages.

To my surprise after sending that email I received an email confirmation of refund from them. If you have issues I would email so you have it for your records.

After many attempts to get an order date from them I finally heard back. I ordered 4/10 and they expect mine to ship "the second week of July", 12-13 weeks pretty much. Ordered direct from Flightscope. Last email I got from them about 2 weeks ago I was told that I would still fall in the 6-8 week timeline. I understand issues but false expectations are really annoying.

All of this in the grand scheme is not a big deal but I think Flightscope is handling it all wrong. Honesty and realistic expectations would have been nice.

As a kicker I purchased a used XI Tour so I had something to use until the Mevo+ arrived. I'm glad I did, it's pretty awesome but I bought it knowing it was missing one of it's rubber feet which is really just a cosmetic issue and the unit still self levels without issue. Long story short I called them this morning to order a replacement foot and was told I could not unless I paid the $1000 transfer fee. This just made me more irritated with the company. I get it, that's how they make money but it's just a $10 rubber foot and your company has 2k of mine for 12 weeks with no product.

I bought the Xi tour after I ordered the Mevo+.
Got a new update this morning that mine is scheduled to ship July 27th, keeps getting longer, ha. Up to roughly 14-15 weeks

Brandon is Flightscope able to give you defined dates for your particular unit? The best I can get from RoSG is: we expect a shipment in mid-May.

Yes but I've gotten 2 different ones this week, both direct emails from Flightscope. 2 days ago it was the 2nd week of July, this morning it was July 27th.

Yes - I'm still not clear on the transfer fee. I had the basic Mevo, which I bought on eBay and sent in for repairs. While being repaired I was notified I would have to pay an additional "transfer fee" on-top of repair costs...

A few months later I sold the Mevo (as I was purchasing the Mevo Plus), and called Flightscope to see if I'd have to pay a transfer fee when transferring to the new buyer, and told its not required.

So not clear when this "Transfer Fee" is required or not?

I think you can use the unit without a transfer fee, but for them to provide support for it you need to transfer the ownership of the unit to you, which results in the fee

I think it's a standard of the golf simulator/launch monitor industry

Update from RainOrShine Golf (ordered thru them on 2/17). New shipment date of mid-June. Efffffffffff:

      Good afternoon,

I hope that this email finds you well, thank you for your order with Rain or Shine Golf. We have some unfortunate news regarding your order of the FlightScope Mevo+. This product has been on an industry wide backorder since February, and unfortunately experienced additional production delays due to Covid-19.

The FlightScope Mevo+ units are produced in South Africa, and the production team started back up after a long delay on Friday of last week - May 1st, which is great. However, they are working at a 20% capacity and also dealing with a curfew. Both of these are being enforced by the South Africa Government so there will be additional delays.

Any orders submitted in February will likely not ship until early/mid June due to the delays in production. Your order will ship as soon as we receive our first batch of inventory from FlightScope! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately the backorder is out of our control. This is an industry wide backorder, even FlightScope directly is under the same fulfillment timeline.

If you would like to keep your position in the fulfillment queue great, you also have the option to cancel for a full refund! If you could simply reply to this email with your decision that would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to order a different launch monitor you can give our sales team a call at 1-888-831-9489 ext. 2. If you ordered a package, all other in stock components will be shipped out as soon as possible so you can begin setting up your simulator room and hit shots while you wait for your launch monitor!

We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for choosing Rain or Shine Golf, have a great day!

jvh42 that's crazzyyy! FS claims not to prioritize their direct orders over orders placed through re-sellers. If your statement holds to be true, then it is clear FS is prioritizing their orders first.

JakeGeezy yea the info just doesn't add up. Perhaps they have some kind of hierarchy to their fulfillment to resellers. I have a hunch that RoS or TopShelf have to hit a certain order # before they put a batch order in or it's their policy to hit a # before putting it into FS. I wouldn't say prioritize but let's say we both ordered today, me thru FS and you thru RoS, who knows if your order from RoS goes in today or at a later date, thus causing this situation.

The only update I received, because I reached out to FS again, my ETA appears to have changed from 6/15 to 6/8. However, there is no guarantee because this can all change today/tomorrow.

That's good news, I ordered 2/18 so maybe I'll get an update soon, been hearing a few different dates from my own inquiry and others who ordered the same day as me. Thanks!

I finally cried uncle and cancelled my Mevo+ order. I received an update that my 4/1 order would be delayed until "late July, early August".....ummm, no. I went ahead and ordered the Uneekor through GolfSimulatorVideo's referral (thanks Jay a98cr125 ) and it should arrive in a few days!

When my Skytrak fails (if it fails) I'll probably be looking hard at a Uneekor. The technology and quality seems just unreal for the price point.

I spent 7K for the Refine package and agree that you get a lot of bang for the buck. The rumor is they are going to raise the price by 20% soon (prior to the release of the IXO)

I talked to someone directly from Uneekor in Lake Forest with the same room dimension concerns. Those listed dimensions are for ball bounce-back protections (liability) and nothing to do with the performance of the system (since it's a camera based system). It's only capturing the first couple feet of ball flight. FTR, my room is only 15.5' x 15.5'. It was suggested that if you invest in a premium, low bounce back screen, not to worry. Btw, have you looked at Mark Crossfield's latest videos? He set up a screen in his backyard and I swear, it's only 6' from his hitting zone!

i ordered through 24-7 golf early April

i've given up on it to be honest, courses just opened in UK now with strict social distancing measures but open! so at least we can get out there hitting some balls. The simulator in lockdown was the idea but that didnt go to plan

I've kinda lost hope on any of these dates being accurate, I'll probably get the shipping email when I least expect it. But my sim is set up and ready to go in the garage so it reminds me I paid $2,000 and still don't have it yet or even where it is in transit, assuming the info I've gotten is correct

Did an online chat with Flightscope this morning. Here is my latest info:

Me: Curious if your factory is back up to full capacity yet and the newest update on an order placed 3/12 expected ship date? Are you getting a lot of cancellations due to delay? Will this likely bring up ship dates?

Rep: We are still operating out production at 20% per guidelines set by the South African Government. Order placed 3/12 on topshelfgolf is "Mid June Shipping Estimate"

Me: Do you know if there is any indication that production will be allowed to increase soon? Possibly bringing the timeline down?

Rep: This is not looking likely based on the President of South Africa's announcement last night. We look to remain in this stage for the next few weeks.

totally agree - i haven't cancelled my Mevo+ order as i prefer the Mevo from everything ive seen so far. The credit card has taken a hit fro the minute. i will most probably sell the skytrak when the mevo finally arrives. Well thats the plan anyway and obviously didn't tell the wife

Yeah when I was first informed of the delay I searched for the original Mevo that a week prior was on sale for like 350 to get me by while I waiting, but is now back up to 500 and also out of stock. If I have to wait anyways it doesn't help...Oh well...

Personally, I'm leery of purchasing a Skytrak. They're several years old at this point and the mandatory subscription in perpetuity plus no OEM source for the light curtain and camera parts is... unsettling.

I could see if you were only planning to use it for a couple years then upgrade, but it doesn't seem like a particularly good long-term purchase, moreso if you don't plan on renting the sim software.

Tried to use the chat feature on Flightscope website to ask about what order dates they expect to be shipping next and when, but they were not able/willing to give me the info...But at least they didn't push my expected ship date back any further yet. Still sitting at June 15th (order date 3/12).

Online chat rep told me to send an email to ordermanagement@flightscopemevo.com

They are apparently routing all shipping delay inquiries through that email address as that group is working with the team in SA to coordinate the shipments. Might be worth emailing them instead of using the Online chat at this point.
