GC2 GSX & ProTee Inteface Setup for TGC and ProTee 2.0

Follow the steps below and in the next few post to initially connect your GC2 to GSX to ProTee Interface. Enjoy!

1: Connect your Bluetooth adapter to your pc's USB port using a USB extension cable. Run the cable into the sim room where the adapter will be as close to the GC2 as possible or within 6 ft of the GC2. After that, install the Bluetooth adapter driver that came in the package.

2: Turn on the GC2. From the right bottom corner of the Taskbar, click the up arrow to show all hidden icons. Select the Bluetooth icon and select Add Devices. See the screen shots below.






3: If your GC2 does not pair up automatically, click your GC2 device and select Pair. Then enter 0000 and click Next.

after spending all night and reading though the forums 10x, the problem seemed to be same issue many of you were having - pc was too far from the GC2. once i moved it closer, it began reading the data w/o any problems.

GSX communicates with the GC2 and transfers data to Protee interface. Protee interface communicates with TGC. Both parts of GSX need to say connected. One connect is for Gc2 and the other is for Protee interface. If the top one is not connected, it's the comm port you're using. I should be 4.

i had it working, then stopped again. think it's to do with bluetooth signal . the other issue i just noticed is each time i'm connecting the gc2, i'm getting a higher COM port. for example, i started on com 3 and 4 as i showed in pics, but as i';ve tried to diisconnect and reconnect the gc2 to reset, it is now up to com port 11 and 12. i assume i just adjust the com port each time in the GSX and ProTee interface to match the outgoing COM port.
i also just ordered a 15' usb extension cable to try and get the bluetooth adapter close to the gc2.
it was working just perfectly, then stopped.
so i know i'm getting close.

is there any way to run the GC2 into the computer via the USB connection. in other words, instead of streaming over bluetooth, any settings in GSX and interface to allow for direct conection of the GC2?
I'm continuing to have 'input' trouble on the GSX despite seemingly having all the settings correct.

The data used by the sim is accessible via bluetooth only. That's why the emphasis is on getting a stable bluetooth connection. USB doesn't provide any data that can be used by the sim.

I would suggest you buy the bluetooth adapter that was recommended in the post. I did and it works flawlessly from a distance too. The adapter is at least 10 to 15 ft away from the GC2 and it works every time.

Quick question. I just purchased TGC for 995 and I did not purchase protee. As a result, I cannot use the protee interface. What do I do to use this with my gc2?

TGC comes with the interface and GSX. It's everything you need.

i tried re-downloading and installing everything from scratch to see if that helps. hoever i can only find GSX 2.0, that is what is included on Protee installer now. this is different from the gsx i was using before, but none of the links in this forum work any longer for the GSX version everyone else seems to be using (version 0.6??). any idea where/how to download tat particular version of gsx? the previous GSX had the green icon and when opened had the multiple tabs showen in this forum, this GSX version is blue and only has that small screen to the right of ProTee interface and from what i can tell, no tabs or options to adjust anything.

I finally finished my room and bought the GC2 and have played several rounds in their FSX software and included courses. I graduated last weekend to buying TGC, I have it all installed (got through the keys with protee and TGC). I have tried to follow the instructions in this thread but hitting a roadblock.
I have Bluetooth installed, and it linked to the GC2 (COM3 is Outgoing, COM4 is Incoming in my case).
I can open the ProTee Interface and make the change for 'use external data'
I ignored the "use The Golf Club" and "Comm port" options as it appeared the directions don't say to modify those.
The next step of instruction says to open GSX. I'm dead here, because I don't either have it or know what it is? My GC2 software is FSX (Fit, Compete, Play).
I don't know what to do next, and my little bit of playing around looking at settings didn't get me anywhere.
I appreciate any help you can offer... I was so psyched to play the Masters today ....

GSX is the software that interfaces the GC2 to TGC via Bluetooth. It comes with TGC.

What firmware is on your GC2? 3.10 works good and so does 3.5.
