  • GC2 GSX & ProTee Inteface Setup for TGC and ProTee 2.0

Follow the steps below and in the next few post to initially connect your GC2 to GSX to ProTee Interface. Enjoy!

1: Connect your Bluetooth adapter to your pc's USB port using a USB extension cable. Run the cable into the sim room where the adapter will be as close to the GC2 as possible or within 6 ft of the GC2. After that, install the Bluetooth adapter driver that came in the package.

2: Turn on the GC2. From the right bottom corner of the Taskbar, click the up arrow to show all hidden icons. Select the Bluetooth icon and select Add Devices. See the screen shots below.

Interesting. Mine is also on an extension, and I have Windows 8.1 and not only does it not connect automatically, but I occasionally have a difficult time connecting. The worst part is getting the GSX to connect after the GC2 is connected via Bluetooth. Like I said, the unit is only 4 feet from the bluetooth dongle, so I don't think that's the problem.

P3eps, what GC2 firmware version is your unit using?

I'm also using an extended range dongle. It picks up a bluetooth lightbulb on the other side of the house and on a different floor. I'm pretty sure that my issue isn't the adapter.

I'm on V3.5.1.0 and am using the Asus USB-BT400 Bluetooth adapter that's recommended in the other thread.

When I paired for the first time I had both Incoming and Outgoing connections in settings.
The second time, I only had one. I manually added the other - and each time I switch my GC2 on now it auto connects.

My GC2 is still probably 6ft from the end of my dongle.

Just checking in to see if TGC is interfacing appropriately with GC2. I recently completed my sim and I want to improve my course quality/library. I have PR1 but not willing to upgrade given costs, limited amount of expensive courses, and appears bugs still need to be remedied. From reading Zmax blueprint to allow GC2 to interface with TGC, I would assume many are playing TGC courses with GC2. Are you pleased? It it reproducibly hooking up well? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Illini, the outgoing Com in the windows Bluetooth settings is what needs to be matched up to the ProTee interface setting. I still have problems with the bluetooth connection working ok with the GSX. Quite often I have to connect and disconnect in the GSX to get both connections going. It's very frustrating, but once both connect, it works fine. I have no idea why I have this issue and others don't.

one other question, does the GC2 have to be connected with USB? or simply over bluetooth? ive managed to set it up so computer auto recognizes via bluetooth when i turn on the GC2, but thought i read somewhere about someone mentioning making sure 'your USB cable is less than 6ft'. didn;t know if this would play in to not picking anything up on the 'INPUT' side.

ok, another day, another question. plugged usb from gc2 to computer, now getting values with swings. just hitting some soft chips in the garage. but don't see any action happening on ProTee even with swings being recorded in interface. in middle of downloading TGC, so havent tried that yet.

Sorry Illini, ProTee only connects to the GC2 via Bluetooth. TGC will be no different.

i know am getting data on Protee GOlf Interface and GSX, but am not seeming to get the ball to move on TGC. i have both Protee interface and GSX set to 'Use Golf Club'. does it matter that i was just trying to chip balls in front yard, and in Golf Club i was on tee box? does it expect driver-like numbers and won;t respond without? i also tried changing club to SW and hit balls, had values show up in GSX, but still no movement on game. sorry for pic quality, sun glare outside.
