Hey guys.... I just wanted to let everyone know that reads/follows this thread... I called and spoke with a contact I have at Foresight and explained to him the general feeling of lack of care of customer feedback by Foresight. I am certainly making zero claims that all our voices will suddenly be heard and that every problem we have outlined in this thread will be immediately addressed but I can tell you that my contact is aware and following this thread and I have been told that it will continue to be monitored from this point forward by him.
His one request is that when listing issues with FSX 2018 (or other supported Foresight software versions) that you be as specific as possible when describing your issue/bug/request for future development. The more specific you get the more likely they will be able to address it.
Again, I am making zero claims about what will actually happen with the information that hits this thread BUT I will promise all of you I will continue to draw my contacts attention to the thread when I see new posts.
I hope this helps the GSF community begin to create a better working relationship with Foresight and I will certainly do whatever I can to continue to facilitate it in the future!

Version 6.0.0.3 Using mixed resolution still lowers output even though FSX2018 reports the correct resolution.

Primary: Set to 1080
Secondary: Set to 2160 <--- Displays 1080

See Pics, both are the secondary display. One is UHD with both displays set to 2160. The other is set to 2160(secondary) but the Primary display is set to 1080 which downgrades the Secondary to 1080. Why would you want to do this? So you can use an affordable touchscreen as the Primary and use the improved UHD image for projection.

I have played the 6 foot challenge a couple of times. LOVE it, however the first time I played I unlocked up to the 8th level (?). Next time I went to play, all the levels were re-locked. Is this a bug or a feature lol?

EDIT: BTW all the chips/pitches are very similar distances... It would be awesome to have a user defined range of distances, or at least a little more variation

I had this wishlist saved up for a while but here they go...

FSX2018 for PC Suggestion
1 Face angle showing in Analysis.
2 Show Tilt Angle/Total Spin option in Analysis and not just Backspin/Sidespin.
3 Green Grid more appealing (currently too many white dots ruling over the entire green is very confusing). Perhaps limiting the grid area to a less extent would look more appealing. Also to show the grid on the fairway/rough shots too.
4 More precise keyboard arrow-key for targeting the pin (i.e. by press/holding the arrow button will move left/right with more precision than just by one step at a time with each click).
5 Have more camera option for ball flight. A good example is e6 and Trackman simulator camera view options for tracking the ball or TV view.
6 Have a way to save each sessions so you can see swing video, ball trajectory, session data, etc...
7 Able to choose To Pin distance for putting/pitching rather than clicking for distance each time (currently it only supports 50,75,100yds and so on only. No less than 50yds available). It looks like FSX for ipad/iphone is already implementing that.
8 Have a bunker/rough zone in Foresight Range.
9 In Table mode of ball analysis, have a way to Select All shots if you want to delete all, or modify one shot (ie to a different club, different tag, etc.).
10 Have a Tag feature for a shot so you can always modify shots rather than creating new clubs all the time for fitting for instance.
11 In Club or Ball Selection of lists, have a way to re-organize club or ball lists.
12 Repair the scale issue on the graphic so you can always enjoy crisp details regardless of resolution scale (4k monitor being able to use 4k graphic even they scaled it to 200% for instance).

GCQ/GC2 suggestion
1 Show ball flight on the device screen with an update! (i.e. showing a dot in a square photo or having another toggled screen like the impact location whether it's a side view or top view).
2 Sell/enable putting analysis software for GC2/HMT customers.
3 Fix inflated carry distances (10-20yds further) for longer clubs with low spin (usually less than 2000rpm) due to Height being recorded higher than real life. (update: Foresight said update is coming on 2/15/2019 but only for GCQ?)
4 Enable Bluetooth for GC Quad.

iPad Performance fitting app suggestion
1 Have a front view of the ball flight option rather than just side view only in Range View screen.
2 Show distance putted for putting application.
3 Show averages for putting data under Table View.
4 Have more data parameters for putting (i.e. Roll Percentage, Putting Efficiency like SAM Puttlab or Trackman putting).
5 Enable Stimp rating option so you can see the total distance variation for putting.
6 Have an option to show Face Angle under Table View. Currently Face Angle is only visible in Club View.
7 Have an option to save sessions/back up sessions outside of iPad in case if you have to re-install the app.

FSX Mobile suggestion
1 Have an option to switch from sidespin/backspin to spin axis/total spin.
2 Have a way to save a session locally like iPad Performance App and not being deleted every time (FSX2018 app needs this feature too).
3 Have a different camera view option for ball flight like FSX PC.
4 Have a Tag option for clubs.
5 In Club or Ball Selection, have a way to re-organize club or ball lists.

Good list. Lot's of good stuff here. #9 in the first list - select all shots -definitely exists. I do it all the time.

You're right. I think that was for my original FSX recommendation... The main suggestion should be the latter one: being able to modify one shot. Currently you can't edit a shot at all which is really frustrating (i.e. forgot to change the club from an iron to a driver or to tag a different club for club fitting and that messes up my avg's)

Post shot "conditions" analysis, similar to Trackman and new to Flightscope.
What happens to the straight shot you just hit IF the wind was coming form the East at 20mph...and so on. This would be great to start calibrating distance and aim points for different conditions.

Also the Trackman optimizer is awesome, showing your potential efficiency, if you could reduce X but increase Y.

Its only numbers, I am sure foresight software engineers have already got these features because the algorithms are there to adjust the ball flight when the conditions are ON. They just need to implement a user interface to expose the features to the end-user and allow us to apply conditions to a previously stored shot.

Indeed. Just like what Flightscope recently implemented, I do feel that optical systems should also have an option like that, since they only measure normalized condition.

This has happened to me 3 times in the last couple of weeks, so it's not specific to 6.0.1.0. Putting from inside 10' and dying the putt into the hole, the shot is not recognized as made and placed back on the green. Weird part is the ball is placed in a different spot then where the original putt was taken. Gimmes are set at 6'.

In settings, it would be great to show overall course yardages instead of just tee colors so that you can have that info when picking a tee.

fully agree, makes it difficult to pick the right tee box without the yardages.. I have been using mmlincon webpage to get the distances.. but it would be nice if the yardages were available directly in the software to see when selecting the tee box color.

roacher24 WISCOGOLFNUT Totally agree! To be honest, it's kind of a "duh" request... I mean NO ONE picks a certain colour of tee because of the actual colour... it's always about the yardage. (actually, I should hedge my comment... my own wife would probably be like "ooh, that's such a pretty red.... let's play from here...")

6.0.1.0 - GC2 is not automatically connected. I have to select and connect the device every time I start FSX, even though the 'Automatically connect this device' box is checked.

Yes, this is happening with the Quad as well. The v6 update seems to have broken auto connect all together.

Have same problem....not impressed with this software period. For what it costs it should be virtually perfect. Foresight need to wake up and have a presence here and on other boards and monitor the issues reported and most importantly FEEDBACK.
Skytrak , R-Motion and Protee all do this and their customers love them for that .
Have yet to read a positive comment from a Foresight customer regarding their software pricing, bug solving or service, they need to lift their game.
Competition is definitely on the way.

No, seems to be usb,Wi-fi , Ethernet only....thinkForesight not keen on any new apps outside FSX being Bluetooth enabled due to no encryption

Sometimes the green grid has no balls on it to show breaks.

Sometimes it takes a little wiggle of the mouse to get the balls to show up or to align properly.

I believe that is because your cursor is not on the green but up on the top menu bar, if you keep your cursor over the green they should always show up

I always keep my cursor off the screen to the right. The balls only occasionally don't show up, or are misaligned (grid is at a weird angle).

Fairgrounds only connects via USB and no timetable for BT yet. (This is crazy to me btw).

My GC2 also NEVER auto connects.

As much as I appreciate the effort to keep feedback to the software provider in one place, I see two pages of posts here and not one post from Foresight. It would be nice to get some kind of feedback from them to ensure they are actually reviewing these, otherwise, who would want to go to the effort to provide valuable feedback if they are not paying attention?

I agree, but I'm not holding my breath..... openness and transparency are a couple of words that will never be associated with Foresight Sports unfortunately.
I bought from them a few months ago and the experience was dire. My conversations with them at the time revealed to me their ethos and how that translates into their business practice. Frankly I believe they have no interest in the roots Home Simulator market unless you happen want to buy a full blown turnkey mega dollar home installation that involves FSX. I discussed GC2 and Quad with them and when I stated that my goals were to play on TGC Tour and was the Quad capable , no was the reply ........what about the GC2 then I asked ....and they were very cagey and when pressed reluctantly said that GC2 was "hacked " by "those sim guys ". And I got a sense of injustice from them that people should be using GC2 for sim play and not using FSX.
Their closed system where you cannot use Quad or Hawk as the bluetooth is encrypted spells it out , they only want to sell you garbage software FSX at inflated prices and are not interested in much of the home simulator market share that exists on these boards and others like this. Their conduct in forcing transfer fees on people simply to buy spares and then their outrage when aftermarket flash units start appearing at a tiny fraction of the Foresight pricing speaks volumes.

For this reason I doubt that you will ever see much of a presence here from Foresight, they are simply not interested in us , and as an organisation lack the joined up capability to progress anything even if they did check in here occasionally.


Protee, Skytrak and R-Motion set the Gold Standard in how you engage customers, keep the customers , keep the customers advised , enlist the customers help in alpha and beta testing by the use of these forums.........people feel involved when companies do that and will stay with the companies concerned because of that engagement. Unfortunately I cannot see Foresight ever doing a similar thing .......I would love to be proven wrong but don't think you will ever see the level of involvement and feedback from Foresight here that the other manufacturers mentioned above work hard to provide.

Hey guys... just wanted to post a follow up about this thread. I am the OP of this thread and the one that has been told that this thread will be monitored with the hope that the issues and suggestions discussed here are addressed and considered for future development. Looking at my cell phone call time counter I can tell you all that I just spoke with the Foresight rep that I have a good relationship with for 32 minutes and 31 seconds. The phone call was solely about the desire to create a connection between our community and Foresight. In an ideal world... in time I would love to act as the catalyst and liaison to work towards a relationship with Foresight similar to the one that SkyTrak has with it's customers on this site. I do not live in "never never land" so I know that this is not going to happen with a single snap of the fingers BUT all I can do (we can do) is put forward our best effort and that is what I intend to continue to do. At this point, the decision from Foresight is to not actively respond to this thread but to monitor the posts for the issues that we are all having and the suggestions that we make. I am not someone that just goes away and I certainly have many additional thoughts about ways to facilitate further communications with Foresight. Is hard to understand why a customer, such as myself, has to do what I am trying to do? Yes it certainly is! However, I do believe that if there is a will there is a way and I think we are in the initial stages of trying to make things better between "us" and "them". I encourage everyone to continue to add content to this thread. If you are familiar with the website Change.org, the way people get things to change is through overwhelming numbers that all but require the powers-to-be to make change. Well, unless anyone else has a better idea I see this thread as our change.org for our relationship with Foresight. Thanks to all those who have contributed to this thread and I hope that in time it proves to be a win-win for all parties!

6.1.0.6 Scramble gimmie bug still present - actually seems worse. We had 5 or 6 in one round. This only used to happen once or twice. Makes playing scramble rather annoying!

Anyone else having issues with the Inside 6 Feet saving your progress?

It does not save me for 9 and on. I've gotten all 3 stars plenty of times through 13, but it always goes back to 2 starts for 9 and 1 for 10 and none/locked after that.
