Hey guys.... I just wanted to let everyone know that reads/follows this thread... I called and spoke with a contact I have at Foresight and explained to him the general feeling of lack of care of customer feedback by Foresight. I am certainly making zero claims that all our voices will suddenly be heard and that every problem we have outlined in this thread will be immediately addressed but I can tell you that my contact is aware and following this thread and I have been told that it will continue to be monitored from this point forward by him.
His one request is that when listing issues with FSX 2018 (or other supported Foresight software versions) that you be as specific as possible when describing your issue/bug/request for future development. The more specific you get the more likely they will be able to address it.
Again, I am making zero claims about what will actually happen with the information that hits this thread BUT I will promise all of you I will continue to draw my contacts attention to the thread when I see new posts.
I hope this helps the GSF community begin to create a better working relationship with Foresight and I will certainly do whatever I can to continue to facilitate it in the future!

Exported data in PDF form from range sessions. The font is unreadable. Same is true of the onscreen small shot data table that comes up after shot, font & font colors on white screen suck.

I reported the exporting issue to Foresight some months ago. Additionally all the data that the dialogue boxes ask for does not show up in the exported report.
For example if you name a club or a setting for a club in the dialogue boxes when compiling the report that information does not appear in the exported report rendering entering info in the boxes a complete waste of time,
I do not understand how coaching pros use this software because if a large number of sessions are exported on a daily basis it is impossible to identify them from the title as the title is Foresight Report. The title should be editable from the dialogue boxes when compiling the report to ease specific identification of a session.
Foresights response when I pointed this out was that they will consider this "feature request"
This software should be able to accomplish simple session identification, but I'm not holding my breath.......probably will be an added feature in the next $750 upgrade........

Being able to edit one shot is essential for club fitters or analyzers for coaching/learning. Those shots forgetting to tag the right club messes up the whole averages and the only way is to delete those shots, not move them back to the right clubs.

6.3.0.9 - Things I noticed so far
- Icons changed
- Some display data moved around - more logical layout
- Seems to be a new cloud library - looks much better
- netplay doesn't crash when launching a game - several people having issue just connecting but I don't think it is version related - still testing
- new delete shot option
- new shot info panel in practice mode

There maybe more but that's what I noticed so far and can recall of the top of my head

I reached out to my contact at Foresight regarding the recent update and below is what I was told:

"The most recent update resolved the auto-connect feature, various bug fixes, adjustments to real world weather, and added shortcut icons/legend. I have also spent some time this morning reading through the forum and all suggestions/bugs have been communicated to our software team."

As stated previous posts of mine on the topic with communication with Foresight...
I know that the current level of communication we have with Foresight is not ideal (like the direct contact that people on GSF.com have with SkyTrak) BUT, I believe it is better than where things were before. So, small steps in the right direction and hope for continued improvement as time goes on.

I installed 6.3.0.9 today and the software loads fine and the home menus and settings and every looks fine, but as soon as I jump into the range or a course, the graphics get warped as it I was looking down binoculars from the wrong side. Every just stretches out away from me.

I reinstalled the app, same issue.
I reinstalled the previous version (6.1.1.1) and worked just fine (no issue)
I installed 6.3.0.9 again, same issue.
I installed on a desktop, same issue.

I attached picture showing what it looks like.

Anyone see this before? Thoughts on how to fix it?

I did reinstall the driver. And this his happening on 2 computers. 1 with 2 GTX770s (desktop), and laptop with GTX1060. Both doing the exact same thing.

So odd. Both work perfectly fine with 6.1.1.1 and the version before that.

What resolution? Does anything change if you change distance to pin?

Trying to remember if I've been to the range since I've updated....

It's 1920x1080... and although the range does change a little because of the distance... it's still the same warped (like looking through wrong side of binoculars).

This isn't limited to the range.. its every golf course too. Practice, play or compete.

Oh wow! Weird it is only happening on yours so far....and multiple systems????

Bug found: with the new update 6.03.09, all graphics are fine .... until I take a penalty and select “drop”. The main screen then flips 90 degrees until I move the arrow and select my drop position. After my drop location is chosen, the graphics then flip back to the proper setting.

Does anyone else's FSX 18 freeze when a shot ids missed by the GC2 unit?
I find if the GC2 catches my trainer or something going backwards, the gc2 will flash and display dashes, and the FSX 18 will freeze with no mouse cursor and no way to unfreeze it without using task manager to close the app.

Have been using FSX2018 for a few weeks now, latest update, and overall really quite happy.

One key bug - the software will randomly hang on occasion with no video source from the PC to the main display (which is the projector in my case, so the screen goes blue). Solution is to hit esc a few times (or ctrl-alt-del) to sort of wake it back up. I don’t have to shut FSX down, more jolt it back into action.

Does this happen to others?

Something similar happens for me. Computer goes into sleep mode if there are no mouse movements/clicks etc... happens all the time when I'm practicing on the range. During game play it's not an issue. I'm sure there's a simple work-around to somehow tell the computer to not sleep while FSX is running, but I haven't been bothered to find it lol... perhaps someone who reads your question....?

Sounds like the screen is going to sleep. Increase your screen sleep time in Windows. I wouldn't really call this a FSX bug. It's the idle mouse/keyboard that causes this.

Mmm...I will check sleep mode again, thought I set the timeframe quite long when I setup the PC.

It seems to be quite random, can sometimes happen in quick succession and only affects the main display.

If it’s not happening to other FSX users then I thought it could be a GPU, cable or projector issue...but here’s hoping it’s just sleep mode!
