  • TGC/Protee - GSX Settings and Bluetooth adapter

Settings for GSX when used with TGC:

Set all carry, back spin, and side spin settings to default of zero.
Putting speed = (set to what feels right for your turf).
    Putting forgiveness set to 2.
All penalty settings must be at default of zero

    Bluetooth adapters working:
    Asus USB-BT400 Bluetooth 4.0
    4Cirago Bluetooth 4.0 BTA8000 with Extended Range(EDR)

If you're having Bluetooth connection issues, definitely try a different brand Bluetooth adapter. If you're using the metal protective cage, try connecting without the GC2 being in the cage. Also, don't just plug the adapter in the back of the computer. Use a 6-15 foot USB extension cable to attach the Bluetooth adapter. This will put it out in the open an allow for a better signal.

    GC2 Bluetooth Adapter Code: 0000

Send Rick a PM for his driver settings.

Short answer for 4 degrees is that you'll never get exact match with any club, it's just more evident with the driver. Protee takes the GSX data and uses it to calculate ballflight, it doesn't just paste those numbers into the game. I've replied to your PM and will try to help you best I can but with my driver and the GSX version i have, if I'm within a certain spin range, i'm pretty accurate, if not i lose or gain distance depending on various factors.

Edit: I'll add that modifying spin/carry for driver can help you find a happy medium. If you hit your driver exactly the same each time, you can get it to work. But if you for say hit a high spinner sometimes, high fades, low spin draws.. basically all sorts of shots off the tee.. you can't use these settings to fix your issue. The way I have it set right now is the following:

-2200 spin: or lower will be close to accurate on the range.
-2200-2800 spin: I will lose distance on good shots
-3000+ spin: I will gain distance

What is the deal with bluetooth? Do you have to remove the device and re-add it each time?

Shouldn't have to. Once you add it, it should connect automatically the next time. But you do have to connect on GSX.

Yes, it recognizes my bluetooth each time without a problem.

Hmmm, mine isn't I've had to remove the device and re-add it. Might be a windows setting - I'll look into it. I noticed the GC2 had a different code each time so was wonder if that was it.

Yeah, there should be a setting to let it reconnect automatically under Bluetooth settings panel.

I am trying to get my new windows 8.1 computer set up with the Protee GSX setup. The GC2 worked with bluetooth and the forsight software right off but I am fighting with the GSX finding the GC2 and the right com port. Windows 8.1 is asking for a password to set up the GC2 with bluetooth. Waiting for support.

Is it displaying a bluetooth password or is it asking for a user password? If it's bluetooth I just said yes and it connected. Mine just won't auto connect if I shutdown the GC2 and start it back up. Kind of annoying but I'm sure its a windows bluetooth thing which a new "feature" of windows 8.1.

I think it may be the bluetooth password. It's asking to enter a passcode for your device. You might need to enter the same passcode into the device. Or try entering a passcode on it.

Does not give an option to bypass the password.

Just weird that it worked fine on the Foresight software with Bluetooth sending the signal.

that's the thing. from what I can tell the GC2 generates a random code each time it's powered on. Windows will say is 253456 correct and I check yes and they pair. Next time I try to use it I have to remove it from windows and then power it on. Then the message will pop up and say is 112050 correct and I click yes and it will pair. Just weird and I'm sure its a window bluetooth stack thing

Ok, thanks for the code 0000 as that worked and I was able to set up the GC2 by way of the bluetooth icon from the bottom of the screen with the arrow up. Clicked the bluetooth icon and when asking the code I used 0000 and it worked.

Shut the protee stuff down and started again and the GSX slider worked to connect again.

Next test will be to see if I have the port forwarding set up for on line play. Then to see how fast this Geforce GTX780 card is.
