  • Exputt Putting Simulator

Has anybody seen this or have any experience with it? The mygolfspy guys posted a quick video of it on their Instagram a few days ago and it looks pretty cool, especially for somebody that doesn't have the room for a full swing in their house. From what I can find online it looks like it's an Asian company expanding to the US market. If the numbers are accurate it could be a good training tool.

I'm in the Middle East and run a Skytrak Golf SIM dual bay in my spare time (not much of that during this lockdown). I just ordered this to compliment our setup. Looking forward to trying it out after it comes through our re-shipper!

It's been a couple months. Has anybody used their Exputt? Is it worth it?

I also see Mygolfspy has a 10% discount code.

I use mine daily to practice distance control and I’ll occasionally play a challenge or simulated putting round. It’s a great little unit, turns on quickly, and is plenty accurate for my handicap. It’s also a MUCH cheaper putting launch monitor than SAM Lab, GC Quad, and Optishot Pure. The best practice aids are the ones you actually use, and Exputt makes it incredibly easy to practice putting, even in small spaces.

Anecdotally, I haven’t had much need for tech support, but when I broke part of the stand assembly the company shipped me a replacement part for free. I hope the can integrate with an iOS app or other launch monitors in the future, but I’m very happy with the Exputt as a stand-alone launch monitor for putting.

Still use mine, quick to turn on and practice or just play 9 holes. I definitely feel like I’m making more putts and more putts in the 3-6’ range

I'm using mine still, I feel it helps on distance control by figuring out how a 10 ft, 20 ft, 30 ft, etc. putt feels. Getting the green speed right helps, but I now need to work on getting better at reading greens, because virtual green breaks are not like real life.

I'm now the owner of one of these systems and have to agree with all the reviews. It works incredibly well. Super accurate to a few mm's or less. I wanted it to practice those long putts that always miss by an inch or so. It gives you a great sense of distance control. I even found that a serious putting flaw with the TittleX device in E6 Connect with it, confirming something I've long suspected. I posted that in the Tittle discussion. The only issue I had with EXPUTT was lighting, but a flood lamp solved that issue. EXPUTT is good stuff. Worth it.

Agree on the lighting issue. I use a portable LED work spotlight and it works to great to ensure club readings every time.

I don't suppose there is any way (actual or rumored) to use Exputt with TGC2019 for putting? That seems to be a weak spot with other Sims from what I am reading.

We really like it for distance control and alignment. Some fun competition and my putting has improved considerably.

I recently bought one of these mainly to work on start line and speed control. Enjoying it so far but I’ve had very little luck getting club data.

I have an all silver Evnroll with the stickers on it and maybe 1 in 20 gives club data. I’ve tried lighting options and currently have something like a 250 watt shop light sitting on the ground pointing at the ball/putter to get the 1 in 20.

I’m not sure how much I car about the club data in reality but it annoys me I can’t at least try it.

Can you put the light above and in front pointing down towards the mat? That is what I have and don’t usually have any missed club readings. I’m using a single led foldable work light.

I’ll play with light angle. I’ve got four 100w equivalent leds lighting the room in general but it’s a decent sized room and dark overall. The shop light I have was bought to sit on floor behind me when I filmed my swing in dark garage for online lessons so maybe brightness isn’t working as it’s low and parallel to floor instead of shining down.

Thanks I used a different less powerful light but oriented more how you described and now I’m getting club data on almost all putts.

Gresh12 glad it worked out for you. It’s a pretty good system. I also just got the perfect practice putting mat and really like that as well. Trying to putt to the smaller hole and keeping it online is addicting and I think it has helped in the short amount of time I’ve had it.
