Please follow these steps to turn on shot recording.

I am only half way through the list of players and already have more than 30 players without shot recording turned on.... It is not enough to change off to on in the settings.... Please follow the steps in the above link.

Not too sure if you have it turned on..... go to the tour website. http://golfsimulatortours.com/home.php

Click on Tour Players.... find your name, click on your name, Scroll down until you see Recorded Tour Shots. Click on recorded tour shots..... if you don't see any data, please return to the above link and follow the steps....

If you have followed all of the steps and still can't get to show shot data, please PM ProTee for help.

Players without shot recording turned on and working properly will have their scores deleted from the leaderboard.

Thanks for continuing to pound this. Hopefully a future upgrade doesn't allow people to wander in the tournaments and screw up standings. I think the leaderboard for the Farmers is still not correct unfortunately for those who played well. e

Thanks Keither! It will also let you know if you have it set up correctly in non tour rounds so that you know if you're good to go before the tournament round. Follow the directions and hit a shot, even on one of the ranges, you should see it. Otherwise you missed something. On a good note for you Keither it still has your congrats for the Sony open so you've got to soak that in longer that upgrade would be great Duke.

I didnt know there were extra steps till after the fact - those 2 rounds were my first rounds on tgc after q school. I think ive got it working now as its recording my non tour rounds.

Besides being a requirement to play tour events.....it's a great tool for working on your game. looks to be working for you now.

Keither - You mention shot recording being a great tool for working on your game. Is there any talk of adding carry distance to the stats that are recorded? That's the main stat that seems to be missing.

Not sure if that is in the works or not... Many people have suggested it. So I am sure that it is on their radar.

I am not sure where the data comes from .... if it comes from the data sent to TGC, it will be very difficult has I think that TGC has it's own algorithms. Plus things like elevation will be applied after. If the data comes from the TGC game, it may not be that difficult.

My apologies, i didnt capitalize the first letter in my TGC prorile to my forum tgc profile. I didnt check recordings as i have no interest. I only set it up last week. I guess crucify me for i have sinned.

LHL..... are you the one with the mis spelled name? if so, we can take you off the list if you like. I am sorry but until they bring out an update that automatically turns it on. We have to keep reminding players to turn on shot recording. If we don't players who are giving themselves 50 foot gimmes and 7 tee shots on a par 3 will win the event. Nobody accused anyone of cheating or not having shot recording on purposely. Even the guys that were not putting.... they were oblivious to the fact that this is an organized tour with real players.

Longhorn, I think that you also have to make sure that your name is consistent on this site and TGC. That is probably why your shots are not showing up.... Make that change in your profile and it should work..... If you have trouble....PM Protee. And for those players that have just learned about shot recording and the rules, The -36 is temporary just to keep the leaderboard accurate. Tristen and Tren are 1 and 2 on the leaderboard and nobody but Protee knows if they are following the rules.

Thanks, I will check as soon as I can. Currently offshore and won't be home for almost 3 weeks. I will do what I can to correct it when I get the chance. I will miss the next 3 tournaments. When I get home flying out to San Francisco to play Presidio, will be there for 5 days.

Really been enjoying having the shot recording in place for monitoring my numbers. Particularly driver backspin. I wish there was a way to number the holes, but it's manageable as is.

I agree, I have worked on increasing my LA for my driver and my mid irons. Having the data was a big help.

Scores will not be deleted. Instead the player's handicap will be changed to -36. Here is the list of players that do not have shot recording turned on.

Mine is now working. Tried to figure out why it was not working for 2 months before I realized that my user ID was transferred incorrectly. I typed an 8 instead of a B. Go figure. Will my handicap still be changed to -36?
