Did a practice round. Expecting some low scores this week especially if your hit your driver straight... a big IF for me. Greens are practically flat and not too many approach shots where you get in trouble for mishits.

Looking forward to it! Just following up on my shot recording post in the masters thread.

TGC Nickname - does the screenshot below show that? is this the only place to define? it is not accepting the _

I think you just need to change it in the TGC game itself when you edit your player

That was a crazy round. My Skytrak was taking like ten minutes to read a shot so I had to shut the computer down and start again. Then I get stuck in the woods for a 10! - it was like that game ping pong. Is there any way to hit a provisional or take a drop out of the woods?

Press ESC key and select DECLARE UNPLAYABLE from the PAUSE MENU. Position the ball with the WSAD keys.

Update my player name within TGC so fingers crossed on shot recording. Good course, very tight off the tee.

7 birdies and a bunch of brain farts around greens. When will they stop?!?!?

Just played my first round. Shot my best round on SIM ever, or at least in the tourney's. Wish I could shoot this well IRL.

Used my 3 wood, which I think I'm going to do more consistently. I don't hit my driver well indoors. I'm still getting close to the same distance.

I chipped in two or three times from off the green, it was great. When I didn't chip in, I put it close for par. Very happy with my round and hope this is a sign of things to come.

I didn't hit my driver in my basement for almost 3 months after building the sim..... It also took another couple of months to really rip it down there with the driver. Great job on the 73!

Probably not going to play this weeks event because I might actually get some real golf in...but just looked at the course online.....WOOF. From Augusta to this thing....ouch!

Thanks! The boot is off and feeling pretty good! Still a little sore, but headed to PHX tomorrow and going to try to get out on a real course for the first time since last fall. 67 is my best score yet on TGC, but I have to admit, I had the straight putt thing turned on. Was super frustrated after a bunch of misreads last week.

Round one was one of my best rounds ever, 75, more lucky than good. I hit the wood by the water and it bounced to gimme range. Sank a 47 footer for birdie. several chip ins. I did keep the ball in the fairway, or at least out of the trees the whole round so I had a shot into the green. Though I did not make it there in regulation, I still converted the pars. Very excited for such a round. Still I can see the tree trouble causing lots of problems if my drives get wacky. I recorded this one for review.

I finally convinced my father to play in his first tourney live with me today and we failed miserably. 5 times his SkyTrak lost connectivity during the match causing us to quit 9 holes in (about 2 1/2 hours and 5 reboots later)... My side was rock solid but I watched his SkyTrak box not connected error kept recurring while running TGC. I know it wasn't his internet connection since I was watching his screen using Team Viewer and we were having a Skype call at the same time... Hopefully tomorrow we can get the other 9 in...

Hey, I had lots of disconnects with skytrak when I first started to use it. Most of them went away after I purchased a new router - they all went away after I hardwired the new router to the TGC computer. I wish there was a hardwired option to the skytrak but then again do not need it.

Had a snafu on shot 46 I putted from fringe into gimmie range. I hit scorecard on iPad app and it did rewind shot instead? Anyhow, I then forgot to put it on putter and the next putt went 2 ft so I hit rewind on purpose and hit it in gimmie range again. So my score is exactly what it should be but I did have 2 rewinds due to the stupid iPad app not selecting the right thing that I pressed. Doesn't matter to me either way, just thought I'd let whoever is in charge know.

The app works great except when there's some kind of lag like what happened to me and it chooses the wrong thing but I'm outside in a shed and my wifi is spotty and I think that's what causes the lag inputting the macros from the app sometimes.
