not that my golf game needs any more obstacles to overcome...but i do have to ask. whats the reason for not having wind on in the tournaments?

You can make it windy during practice rounds and play, but need to turn the winds off before the tour rounds..

We had wind for a while. The players discussed it and agreed it was better off. Some courses had crazy wind.

well shit, I've never noticed the Wind setting displayed on each of the main tournament page, mine has been on by default and never switched off .
That's too funny but I kinda like it that way for myself, just to make it more interesting to play.

yeah everytime a golfer mentions augusta they talk about the winds and all the trees thats down there already it'd be pretty interesting to see the affects it would have on shots. but hey for a level playing field i get the no wind i guess. just figured id ask

A little early for the win !!! I am sure with the handicap adjustment and the quality of players on tour, someone will eclipse my score !!! Things were just feeling well for this tournament. Things are finally starting to become more consistent. No water this time, only a bit of time struggling with the trees but for the most part it was pretty good. Now if I can just a handle on some distance and straightening out some of the shots.

Well I will take the cap reduction instead of the win any day !!! At least I know my game is improving and cant wait to get out and try it on the real course. Being able to monitor my improvement through the online tours/tournaments is a good motivator for me to keep moving forward. I know that I am probably going to be reaching a bit of a flat spot in my handicap unless I can improve on some of my distance. But that's what I can work on now to see if I can squeeze a little more swing speed out of it all !!!

Once again I have to give my appreciation for the hard work the organizers of the tours/tournaments and creators of the golf courses do to make all of this possible !!!

how do you even get to see who has used a rewind or not?

If you click on someone's name on the leaderboard and then scroll down to recorded tour shots it shows all the shots from their rounds.
I got an 11 on a par 5 last night, my ball cracked in half on my drive right into the trees and I couldn't get out for like 4 shots lol. So you'd see like 4 shots from the same distance if I hit the trees then fell into the water and had to return to the same spot to hit again. I probably should have taken an unplayable lie penalty and been on my way but what's the fun in that lol

FWIW, I put up with several obvious misreads, though I found out it was because my mat had crept around so I was lining up way right, and hitting it ... way right, couple of decent strikes that ended up miles from the target. But, I did take my first rewind in a while. I hit a pretty crappy tee shot, but skytrak/TGC read it as 10y and put it in the water in front of 13 tee. On course would have been 130y and pretty straight, I know because did a couple this morning IRL. Next shot I hit it crap again, it landed in water, but I accepted that, because it was a crap shot that would have went in water.

Well.... opened up with a 91... swing just fell apart and found a lot of water/trees. But.... still got 2 more rounds hopefully I can right the ship.

Also, why are people taking rewinds? I have played 7 total rounds now, and havent needed to take a single rewind on Skytrak... I could have definately used a mulligan this last round, but this is tournament golf, have a little honor people!

i agree i played the q-school major (3 round) and had no reason to do a rewind. played 2 rounds before that the other q-school course and then i played a round last night, i have no idea even where the rewind option is. I use skytrak as well so i assume this isnt a skytrak issue, maybe its other sims that have issues.

I have been playing this tour since day one of skytrak Integration (spring 2016) and I had 2 rewinds in the first few month because of ghost shots ( It moved in TGC without me even touching it IRL) Since then I haven't had one. There might have been a shot or two where I thought "that can't be" but that happens to me on the course as well lol

Was hitting it pretty well, but had an alignment issue either with myself or skytrak where everything was going left. But I drove the ball exceptionally well, so that helped.

Good round, what settings did you adjust to not get the shot details after every shot? And then what did you hit to bring it up during the middle of the round?

I will play it with a buddy Friday night while watching the masters on the other screen. Should be fun. We wanted to do that with the tour masters but since I played the first round already I'm not sure if he will be able to join for my 2nd round. Sure with your first round it should work.

What determines who shows up in change rival in other words your ghost player? Can you manually add someone who is on the leaderboard? It is nice to play along with someone who shoot what you expect to shoot.

It looks to me like after the first round the software automatically pairs you with other "ghost" players with similar handicaps. That's been my experience at least.

KPaas: No I dont have any boost turned on so club selection doesnt matter. I usually pick 5 wood off the tee shots just to get the scout camera to zoom in to 225 yards, which is about how far I carry a driver.

I have it on for my 3wood and driver. IRL I drive 280-290 with 300+ in there depending how I’m hitting. (These are not all straight) 😂

But on skytrak I struggle without boost to hit farther than 275ish. I’m swinging as hard as I can as well.

It is allowed in tournaments and has a better realistic feel distance wise and how I play a hole.

Hey I have a question about the boost off setting. Above it says "Boost: OFF (+/-5% max on club settings)" does that mean that we have the option to increase or decrease our max in the settings file (i have a skytrak) I only ask because i see my swings that are on golfsimulatortours.com and input those numbers on flightscope trajectory optimizer tool. and usually get and extra almost ten yards of carry. For instance a drive on TPC sawgrass shot #504 on recorded non tour shots, carried 238.86 and yet flightscope trajectory optimizer has it carrying 246.9 with all the numbers input from the #504 shot. I was just asking in terms of understanding since this is my first tourney and i just got TGC can i change my settings to be +3% to make up the 8 yards of difference calc'd between the two flight models? Is that was that +/- 5% max on club settings means when it says "Boost: OFF" ?? Only calculated it for my driver but guess it would be beneficial to calculate what the percent would be for 3 wood and irons and wedges i guess if all of those are options. Any assistance would be great, before i start my first round of the masters tour tonight. Thanks.

All settings can be increased or decreased to a max of 5%. Boost up to 5%

Can someone please tell me how to change the Boost setting for my driver on TGC using Skytrak. I've experienced this as well and didn't know there was a way to correct. I'm always longer IRL vs my Skytrak 3-5% Boost would correct this.
