I think we’ll see a few more rounds over par this week. Long tough track!

Hey Bradford I played with your ghost yesterday. Nice slam dunk eagle on the 15th (That's what it looked like on my screen anyway!! haha). Never seen that done before (Ball lands in the hole on the fly).

On a side note, scores will be higher because of the longer and tighter course yes...but also the greens are a lot more difficult with a lot of slope on most of them.

Thanks R3dlineR6, that is the first time I have ever seen one actually go in on the fly as well! What a tough track this is, maybe the toughest we have played that's not tricked up. I got off to a terrible start, so pretty happy with the end result.

Yes, you certainly made a great comeback after that start. I would also put it up there as the toughest track so far that I've played on tour. At least it's not because trees overhang the fairway which can be very frustrating!!

Ah man! Same story in Rd 2. Struggled on the front (3 over) couldn't get it in the fairway. Believe it or not, actually holed another shot for eagle on 11 from 107 yds (not a dunk this time), got it back to -1 for the Rd then got to 17....made a nice putt for a 9! Better bring your A game this week on most every shot. Good luck everyone.

Some of these fairways give me claustrophobia.. feels like you have 10 yards of short grass to land on.

I actually enjoyed a tough round and seeing lots of scores close to par. Its disheartening for me to see you have to shoot -14 to win a tourney.

Just played round 1. Enjoyable. 17th was a bear though.

practiced it last night...tried my best to get a 4 iron there...found the drank every time...3hi got me on and over easy...reached max holes in practice...i'll know tonight to grab the 3hi and stay away from 4iron hahaha

            • #9
I grabbed the drive, but it was to late. :-)

Was killing my 7 iron though.

Wow that course is brutal. Think I'll finish my second round after I've had a little cry 😂😂

Got to the 250 yard par 3 and called it a night. When I gotta hit driver into a par 3 I know a course is not for me lol. Taking the week off seems like it would be more fun

Round 1 I hit a 3 wood over that green, round 2 I couldn't carry the water to save my life. Might have been because it was my 3rd round that day hahaha. The greens killed me to start with and then water. This is not going in my "great track for me" list. I had 2 shot limits lol

Since getting TGC I've developed a sore thumb and plant foot.

I've played about 9 or 10 rounds. Plus the practice range since last Thursday, Also, a few real course rounds.

Welp I may need to contact support about my skytrak. For my second round I struggled to get anything over 5k spin to register. Well struck SW's would be 1800, then 5400, then 3500, when they usually sit around 10-12k if you look at my past logs. Not sure what was going on, randomly the skytrak would show all three red lights, then flick back. I ended up using a bunch of rewinds trying different clubs and balls, lighting, game restarts, skytrak restarts nothing worked. started working after fully shutting everything down and restarting.

Feel free to dq my rounds or whatever as I must have take at least 20 rewinds on my second round trying to diagnose the issue.

Hmm I had kinda the same problems. I had full 60° wedges have 1700 backspin, 20 or so yard chips with 600 backspin. 9 iron approaches which rolled off the green with less then 4000 backspin. But the biggest issue where the wedges and once in a while a high loft shot going way left even that it hit the center of the screen. Didn't have the 3 red light thing. But crazy stuff going on.

Any environmental issues? I noticed in the winter, if I had the heater running full bore. The Skytrak would start acting stupid. I would have to pull the heater back futher or turn it off all together.

I am embarrassed to say I broke a club in anger playing this course! Smacked a hybrid down into the mat, and the graphite shaft snapped like a twig. Replacement shaft ordered, still deciding on whether to attempt round 2.

Been there, done that. Gives you good practice though on pulling graphite shafts. Led me to making my own graphite shaft puller.

Luckily this is an adjustable shaft/hosel, so I was able to just unscrew the fragmented shaft from the club (Titleist H2 hybrid). And the replacement shaft already has the adjustable bit installed, so it should be plug and play into the clubhead.

I hear ya. I had a monster first round but pulled everything left for round 2 leaving impossible short side pitches nearly every hole. I slammed quite a few clubs down myself and considered stopping after the front 9. Oh well.. still enjoyed a tough course that wasn't gimmicky!

I also wonder how many sim users irons are more upright from punishing (slamming into mat) them for bad hits. Note to self, take clubs in for L/L adjustments.
