As I was watching Tom's stream, I saw him hit a shot past a red stake and the game says OB. It did not give him the option for a drop and made him tee it off. Just so I am straight with this do we get a free re-hit or do we get a penalty?

If the option for a drop is not available, take a mulligan but add 1 stroke penalty to your final score for that hole.
