I liked this wide open course, but the Q button green view didn’t work on most holes inside 100 yards or so.

I really like this course. It's long for me, but no forced carries and fairly generous driving areas. Was having one of my better (maybe best) tournament rounds when I pulled my drive into the DEEP gully on 17. Took 4 shots to escape. Note to self - no shame in taking an unplayable!

Compared to the last few weeks, very forgiving driving holes. Nice not having water. There are going to be some good scores this week!

When you see identical data 2 shots in a row. That is a failure of the sim's software sending the data twice. The player needs to reboot to fix this. Unfortunately the player would not realize that this is happening until they look at their data. Also, when you see HA of over 15 degrees, that is a misread. I am pretty sure nobody shanks that bad. We will take Swiggs for example. He has a rewind after a chip with 29 degrees HA. This shot is most likely a system failure or perhaps an ball laying in the FOV caused the wild HA. Now if you look at the rest of his data. You will see a lot of duplicate shots. These are not rewinds. Mthunt will be alerted to the duplicate shots and any other rewinds. He will dismiss the duplicates for what they are. The legit rewinds are easy to identify. If you look at the tour rules, it is spelled out pretty clear what is acceptable.

Well I will admit to having a rewind on one tee shot. For some reason, occasionally my SkyTrak will not read a shot when playing TGC. (This has never happened in the SkyTrak app, just when playing TGC). I hit 3 tee shots using a 3-wood off a short tomahawk tee, and it never picked up one of them. The laser would go out, and then come back on. (kind of like very short putts) I kind of got mad and just dropped a ball on the mat and smacked it. Of course, it picked up THAT shot, so I rewound it and then it an almost equally crappy tee shot.

As Keither threw my name out there.... I have been in contact with Keither, Mthunt and the owner of GSA trying to figure out why my shots duplicate.
I wish I could replicate my shots and spin numbers exactly the same every time!
Hoping to have it fixed soon or just have the switch over to 2019.

I think some of the newer players dont realize they should not retake shots in these events. One player took multiple rewinds and none of the spin & carry numbers were identical. This same player near the top took no putts in 36 holes...must have been all gimmees and chip- ins. There was one other who accomplished this. When the change is made to software not allowing rewinds those probs will go away. But of course I am sure there will always be creative ways to score lower, it has happened before.

Major issue on hole 4. I pulled my drive quite badly and my ball ended up rolling down towards the water and stopped. I was 468 feet below the hole. I tried to take an unplayable lie to get back to the tee box, but it simply dropped me in the same spot. I had to keep hitting the ball into the water to get out. My scores are bad enough without having an 11 on the card

I have learned an important lesson during this first round. I am one of those that just needs to keep the driver in the bag and hit 3 wood off the tee. I found it weird that when playing the first round, the game never offered me a driver on the tee box. Lots of 5 wood and 3 woods were recommended. I guess TGC knows my game because I shot one of the best rounds ever (for me) on this tour!

WTF how is my shot recording off. It's been on since day one. I've recorded every shot. I have 946 pages of tour recorded shots and 441 pages of non-tour. I will have to figure this out tonight. It must be related to TGC2019 testing is all i can guess.

mthunt Am I now excluded from this week? Probably won't matter anyway, I think I finished at -1 overall and with my handicap it probably means I'm like 8 over or something.
