Great playing with you tonight Mike. Amazing how you rip off birdies like that. 7 in a row and 8 thru the first 10 holes. Amazing!
Its fun to watch that... Makes getting up early on Sunday to play with Mike worth it. Your going to have a great summer Mike. Had a blast playing with you this winter. Already looking forward to next winter.
Thanks guys. That was an unreal run on the front nine. Wedges were on fire. You know things are going your way when you block an iron on a par 3 and then lob one in the cup from over a sand trap from 25 yards. Then it started getting wobbly off the tee on the back nine but it hung together! A fun stretch
Mike, do you think your setup is accurate? I'm just curious. They keep lowering your cap and you keep shooting lower scores. So I'm curious if Protee is just not an accurate SIM or if its your settings. Which do you think it is?
From what I can tell the setup is pretty accurate. I occassionally go to an indoor driving range and my shot shapes and misses are pretty similar.
My handicap on Protee is -4. In real life my handicap is about a 3 (has dipped to as low as 2, ranges up to 5 or 6 depending on whether my tempo is on or a mess). My lowest round in real life is 2 under.
The spread between those handicaps come down primarily to putting, short game, and the rough.
The long game on Protee is fairly consistent with my real life long game (good shots and bad ones behave pretty similarly); when my game goes wrong, it's usually due to having too quick of a tempo and my downswing gets off plane and my body gets out of sync with my arms (body shifts forward and I need manipulation at impact). That will happen a little more often in real golf because of fatigue from walking (focus starts to lapse a bit as the day goes on) or from just not paying attention to my mechanics and tempo (get too confide
