I had a feeling this would happen. I agree that things are looking a little ridiculous. 10 birdies in a round is insane and not realistic. Guys that start out driving the ball 230 then a few weeks later start driving 280-300 is also ridiculous. Do we want arcade golf in our league, if so, I don't want to be a part of it either. I'm not spending tons of time on here creating tournaments and helping people get online so this can turn into a TW video game league. If this is what you guys want, that's fine.

This is the second person that has withdrawn from the league. You guys speak of playing for fun and growing the league. Well, we don't seem to be growing.

The hdcp is suppose prevent stuff like this but apparently it's not enough when the season is short and limited rounds are used.

You certainly cant judge by my performance -but we can all agree that the game is easier than on a real course- always flat lies, 5 foot gimmes...etc- I can see a low hcp or scratch golfer shooting under par every round.

I would hate to be accused of tweaking the game for my benefit if I ever did pull off a great round- It would be due to my putting for sure- but my random wayward drives and many occasional thin/fat approaches keep me far from scoring well.
Again- I think this is a pretty neat thing thats goin on here- if you play for bragging rights- im really not sure who pays attention. I sure havent. If someone is an awesome golfer or not... so far most everyone Ive had the chance to play online with are pretty cool guy's- and they enjoy swingin the clubs and bullshittin a bit during the round.. At least thats what i cam here for- and I'm guessing most of the crew has done it for the same reason.

wow wait a minute are you guys accusing me of cheating????????????? I would like everyone of you to log into my computer and check my settings!!!!!!!!!

I do not like to be accused of cheating. I will play without a handicap every round I do not care. I just want to play. Take away mulligans too.

This crap of accusing people of cheating is nonsense. Name the person that you are accusing, be a MAN !!!!

I am sorry if I offended anyone with my post. But I do not like to be accused. I had a great round 1 this week, but as you know I struggle mightily at golf most of the time. Every now and again I get lucky and my drives are straight. But for me it is just luck. As far as distances I have every setting at 1 except for driver and 5 wood which is set at .91 for drag. I did this based on what the trajectory optimizer was showing on flightscope. What I did was hit a shot with the driver then wrote down the key numbers. Ball speed, Launch Angle, Total spin, and axis spin(?) either left or right. Plugged those numbers in the trajectory and then compared the results.

I found out that all irons were very close at 1. However the driver and 5 wood, presumably 3 wood but I do not use this were all short. So I tweaked a little on the drag and kept repeating until they were close. I found that .91 on drag only on those 3 clubs was spot on and matched very close to Flightscope.

I could not agree more with Tharn's comments.
Well, I am one of those that pulled off a couple of really good rounds in a row and to Z's point, a little arcadish. I would only dream of going -7 in a round in real life. Even par, yes (maybe). Best rounds were 75 and 76 on some difficult courses. I play as a 8 handicap.
For those of you that played with me online this year, you have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I have been fighting the shanks all season. You can see my history of scores ranging from -7 to +20 rounds. I was away for a few weeks and missed some tournaments and really needed some sort of break. I could not figure out what the heck happened to my golf swing. I got some advise from a friend of mine that is a scratch golfer and am starting to rebuild my swing, which has helped tremendously. I still have a long way to go I feel though.

From my perspective, it is important to understand that we are playing indoor golf when it is not possible to be pla

I agree, Rambo. Flights are the way to go. People just have different expectations. I'd rather play no handicaps vs realistic players than handicaps the other way around.

Great post Rambo. 2 different flights is a good start.

And I can attest to Rambo's last round. Lots of lucky putts in the last 4 holes. His hdcp will drop to a 2.

Bubs, you did well on an easy setup. Plus your hdcp put you up near the top of the leaderboard, as expected.

I had thought about doing a course hdcp for each tournament but that requires more work on my part.

You mean my slider shouldnt be on beginner and ball speed set at 1.4? What about the putting track i use to make all my putts go perfectly straight? I guess will adjust those all back before the masters this weekend :-)

I would still like to see guys put their real life factor in their name settings. This way we get to see what kind of a golfer you are outside and watch as it may change over the summer.

HDCP can be entered in on your Profile page where anybody can look at it. No need to make your display name 25 characters long.

Well after all that. Is there anyone that wants to play today? I was hoping to get round 2 in today. I promise I will not play well. Of course that is by default for me. 1 good round 10 bad. Someday I will get more consistent.
