    Foregiveness has been discussed before.

    Try reading through this:

    http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...veness-setting

Not sure that the proper setting is '0'. Looks like it should be '30'.

I have mine set at 0 and it is realistic. I hit some pretty crooked, penalizing shots but I do in real life too. the way I read the rules though I would think tournament play would require 0. It's not like gc2 or skytrak owners have a setting to minimize side spin and whatever else 30 gives you. I've never played it on 30 so I can't speak for how much it helps but 0 should be the setting for tour events. Perhaps
      ProTee could confirm.

I ran some rough numbers, with spin axis and straight offline shots, (i.e. a pull or push), and found that the numbers using "0" were pretty accurate vs skytrak and GC2 videos I saw online. Btw, 5 degrees of spin axis equates to about 3.5 yards offline on a 100 yard shot (per trackman), and 1 degree straight offline (i.e. pull or push) equates to about 1.75 yards offline. So for example on a 250 yard shot, starting 2 degrees to the left with 10 degree of left spin axis you might expect to see a shot of 26.25 yards to the left ((3.5 x 2 x 250/100) + (1.75 x 2 x 250/100)). I know this is just a rough approximation, but the protee numbers at "0" come quite close.

Ckl, I was hitting some drivers on the protee range this morning and here is what I see that seems extreme to me but maybe not. An example is a driver hit at 16 degrees vertical LA (i know, a bit high) but with 2 degrees out to in and 1 degree of open and hit on the sweet spot, I see 60 yards right. Does that sound correct? I still will always play at 0 correction, regardless, just curious if that what you would see in your formula.

That does seem extreme, what was your spin axis? It's in the middle of the screen. One of the issues is that your path and face are 3 degrees apart, but yes does seem extreme.

I didnt check. I will try to reproduce when I get home tonight or get a close example since my swing usually sucks in similar ways

Was it me or were the greens super fast and postage stamp sized on this course? Wow! I found myself short sided on the majority of holes needing to play flop shots.

Rodder had a couple great rounds. The guy is amazing. Hits his 2nd shot on par 5s as far or farther than his 1st! Poked it out there with him every time only to be left in the dust after I'd flush 3 wood. I will be PMing him for fairway wood recommendations.

That wind was hilarious on the back 9 for me on my first round, had a 22 mph wind on my back going straight down the fairway on 18th and hit a perfect drive to combine for a 365 yard drive, definitely my furthest ever, then managed to chunk my like 60 yard shot into the green, gotta love golf haha, That part was fun, the rest of the round..... not so much

You need to turn on wind. Hit esc, settings, gameplay, wind. You have to do it before you start a tournament round.

I made that mistake the first tournament I played too, what you need to do is go to the settings, then gameplay, then turn the wind on. Didnt appear to fix it right away for me on the first tee (may have by next shot) but instead I just exited the tournament, opening up a random course, turned the wind on, and restarted the course to make sure it was on then went back to the tournament and it was on. The wind will stay on forever whenever you play any course after that until you turn it off again

I just played 2 1/2 rounds last night. My practice round went good so I thought i'll play a tournament round right after. In my first round I had 20+ mph winds but they didn't bother me at all. I think I'm just used to the aiming from the pc version I have been playing for 6 month while waiting on ST to be available lol. Practice round was good, first tournament round was ok until I forgot about the channel on I think it was 16 and hit my driver right in the back edge of it. The greens are tough ! On my 2nd tournament round, I think it was on 4, I hit in the right greenside bunker pin high. Hit a flop out of the bunker on the green, rolled all the way over to the left greenside bunker. There wasn't much green between the bunkers. Long story short, I have been in each of the two bunkers two times lol wish I would have hit the approach long or short instead of right hahahaha Tough course

Finished 2 rounds , really liked this course and playing with some of the ghost balls, it's tough to keep up at times.😜

Is there anywhere to view the leaderboard after each round ? When I click on leaderboard only seems to show those that have finished all 3 rounds

Tried to play second round, server says "error occurred retrieving your score, would you like to try again" keeps coming up??

Servers are undergoing some maintenance, adding 3,000+ new courses. This will slow things down. Please try again in hour or so.

Why are these type of settings not defaulted when ProTee creates the tournament? Is that not possible to do? Seems to be a lot of people who've started the tournaments without realizing they had to manually turn wind on among the other important settings.

The whole wind setting doesn't make much sense. The tourney should be a closed environment as far as settings customization goes. It clearly says Wind ON. I shouldn't be able to play without it. It makes me wonder if the +/- 5% boost is also a "soft" setting. I understand there will never be an even playing field with different mats, simulators, and the ability to tee it up from the fairway. Just some thoughts for future enhancements. Product is great but always nice to have things to work on.

Definitely agree with Vincent and cobig here, wish the wind was something that could be forced on once we enter a tournament as well. I would have continued playing with it off without thinking if I didn't catch a random post saying it a few weeks ago. So for the forum addicts that check it like 10 times a day (myself included haha) it isn't too much of a problem, but for some others it could be.
