Can you guys elaborate on the putting issues. This comment in particular. "...the greens are definitely not sim friendly." I had issues in Q school where it seemed like 2 inch downhill putts were really 2 inch uphill and vice versa. How do we make this better?

Wow you guys are scaring me..haha. I might do a practice round later after work. Sounds like I need to get a feel for this course before jumping in the tournament!

Thank goodness this is over. Second round was worse than the first. Too many shots running through the green and the putting was more than a little difficult, although i'm still trying to figure out putting on here anyway.

This will not be going into the favorites section.

Sounds like I picked a bad week for my first tournament. Haha. Btw... Bubba22 Did you decide against the gross and net leaderboard and points for each tournament. I noticed the Valspar only showing net winner. Are you going to wait until the Spring tour to implement that?

Congrats to Mike for winning that tourney!

If you click on a top row of the leaderboard you can sort on position, player, handicap, round, gross, net and pts.

Greens are not sim friendly means every putt breaks everywhere on every green pretty much

I thought the same, but they definitely felt fast this week. I rechecked my putting speed settings after my practice round because it felt so off.

          It's liely a slope issue.

Maybe I was just having an off day, so not trying to jump to conclusions after one practice round, but I definitely putted a few way past the hole while taking into account the slope. I've still got 2 more rounds on the course so I'll see if it still seems fast then.

Thanks Vincent! It helped with a high handicap. My first ever tournament round was horrible so that ballooned my handicap. The goal is to keep getting it to go down. About to start a practice round for this tournament. Good luck everyone for this week!

Just got through my 1st round , played pretty well. Got the wrong side of a few pins and had some treacherous chips to contend with.

Lots of elevation changes made club decision tricky at times.

Well this round is ruined! The Par 3 hole #2, I got stuck in the rocks and couldn't get out. Took a 10 on it. Next hole my drive was directly behind that tractor. Took a 9 on that hole. I'm at +15 thru 4 holes. I had to exit the game. Getting frustrated! Will have to come back at a later time. But it's not looking good! Wish I could just start over.

You can hit escape and declare the ball unplayable. Move it back from there. If that doesn't help, you can actually spin around and chip it back towards the tee. I had to chip it back towards the fairway when I was in a green side bunker. I was 7 yards away and 19 feet below the pin. I can't make that shot in real life, let alone in my basement.

                  Those greens are totally unfair.

Everybody has to play the same greens so what's unfair about them?

I don't like them either, if that's any consolation, and I'm pretty sure nobody else would rate them highly.

Haven't scored that badly in quite a while! Just like old times!

That's exactly right... Does TGC Tour have some way to REQUIRE that scores received are from a sim golfer, and NOT from a game/console golfer? It seems this would be a top requirement?

This has caused a lot of designers to trick up their courses to protect scores. The courses for these tournaments have often been picked based on the name and they are meant for console players. Go play on Xbox with ghosts and see how they destroy every course.

Going forward Bubba22 is leading a group to test courses first before adding to the tours. You'll find a better selection going forward. Sure, there's some long ones, but there's some short ones. The spring tour will have variety.

TGC sim is on its own server so only sim people can play with sim players.

ProTee United I've tried 3 different browsers and I can't get it to sort any of the columns of leader boards. I also can't get anything if I click on a player's name to see their tournament history, etc. Is this just me?

Also, do the leader boards not update in real time throughout the week? Can you really not see the leader board until the tournament has finished?

Click on the Gross and it should sort.
I can't even get it to sort it that way, as it gives me an error message saying my "verification key is out of date". Guess clearing my cache or cookies might fix it, I don't know. Kind of a bummer too that the leaderboards aren't live or even updated daily either.

I say this with all due respect, but you guys might want to take a look at revamping your sim tour website. The "other guys" currently have a far superior setup with live scorecards, driving stats, fairways/greens hit, etc. Like I said, just simply a recommendation to better your product. The sim tours themselves are deciding factors for a lot of people.
