Played my second practice round and showed this course who's boss..... too bad that the course may do that during the tournament. I only have the last 10 holes recorded. I only noticed that I wasn't recording on the 8th hole. I hope that I can pull off a round like this when it counts. This is my second round in the 60's out of 212 rounds. I tried a different ball angle. I like seeing the ball go. I am a little off center with the camera so it doesn't change focus on the driver backswing. I also noticed that I am off center ......I have fixed that after this round..... not much about 0.1 meters or so. Wbond....... I was playing against your ghost and eagled along with you.

If you look at my stats, you may wonder how anyone can hit a 413 yard drive. The answer is Everwood driving range. The first hole is 217 feet above the pin. Here is the bad part...... you have to finish the course for that long drive to count. There were a few painful holes.

Nice eagle. Did you happen to catch my shank again, can't remember which hole that happened on, I think it was on the backside, man that shot is bugging me lately.

maybe 18.... you were chipping from the right.... a fair ways away. I am not going to say that this course is easy, but there will be some low scores. I hope to be one of them. If I can take advantage of the par 5's and not score too high on the par 3's I will be competitive. If I say that this course is easy, I will be punished with an 80 like the last tournament.

Ugly first round +21. triple on 8. watch out for the hole position. I went past slowly and ran off the green. Then multiple shanks led to a horrible performance. For some reason my vcam misread a bunch. It was reading a minus 1 degree lob wedge. At least 8 times. No idea why. I redid the shots but it certainly ruined the flow of the round. No excuses though, I just played lousy. There is always a next round. This should have been an easy course. I expect scores to be low this week.

Finished my first round with a decent score. I took a 3 hour break at the 15th hole and thought I could pick up without warming up. I was wrong. I am hoping to do better on the 2nd round.

That would be mine and Keithers fault. We only subbed in this course because there was no good version of the real course. We used this one last year and went over well.

You guys are right. We should have used the newer one. We were somewhat rushed when picking the courses for the spring tour. I think we will be adding a few more testers to help pick the courses. I think that the schedule is out for the PGA tour August till October. Bubba is organizing the testing. We could probably start now. During testing, sometimes I only played 9 holes to check accuracy and playability.

I just played 36 in this event. I set to 9 and 2. 9 was too fast IMO. A flat putt to my screen of 10 feet and likely 9 or 10 foot green went like 15 feet. I had a lot of 3 putts. My first putt over 25 feet went into the bunker hard. lol. The par 5s are really short.

I'll keep checking on new courses coming out. We'll switch the US Open to CLV's Oakmont and switch the PGA to Baltrsol if a good one comes out. Any thoughts on yardage? Majors should be longer. Yes or no?

Of course, the problem with testing courses now for tournaments in the fall is we will get "why arent we using this version that just came out".

Definitely think the majors should be longer at least, they have seemed to be the easiest courses we've played so far since I've joined the tour and probably should be the opposite and longer and more of a challenge

Just knocked out both rounds, as I was hitting so well during practice this morning.

I shot 76 and 75 today. Birdied 3 out of the last 4 holes in the first round to recover from a somewhat poor round.

I feel like my game has turned a corner..I am "ok" off the tee now (was terrible for the last 20 years of casual golfing). And my irons are getting pretty accurate. Wedges under 100 yards, I feel I can get within 20 feet every time with my new Vokey SM6's (I dont actually do it..but I feel like I should!)

It was nice playing on a handicap rated course. Hopefully we can get to a point where sim handicap is just calculated and managed by the game and Protee can just use what the game returns.

Only problem was the apparent slope and course rating were super low. Is it perhaps because non sim players are shooting rounds in the low 60s like it's nothing? I shot 74 and 73 off a 7 handicap and my handicap went up above 8. That's crazy. Oh well, it isn't a perfect system, but the tournaments are still fun to play in.

Just finished my second round. My best round ever. Either on sim or IRL. +9 for 81. Very excited for the improvement. My Golftec lessons are starting to help. I hit a lot of greens and thought I was very good but they rolled off the back. Even so I managed to either hole out, hit the pin or got the up and down on most. My handicap went down after from 16.9 to I think 16.1.

Awesome to hear! It's amazing how much these simulators have done for our games, shooting the best scores of my life as well nowadays, just hope our backs can hold up to all the rounds we are clocking in haha

Yep . getting the reps in helps improve but also takes its toll. I am 56 and I went to graphite shafts recently. Love them. Much kinder on the joints.
I agree it is really amazing how a "game" converts to real life improvements

Very nice rounds on this course! I know that feeling very well when you just have it one night and don't want to waste it so you just get all the rounds in and keep playing. That's the day that lead to 6 rounds in one day that I did during the masters tournament.

And definitely hear you on the 100 yards and in, super cool when you zone it in like that and the confidence is nice and high. Sounds like you are locking that in nicely, I'm still getting there with that. That 70-90 yard range always seems to get me

This was a tough course, so congrats to everyone who shot well (and to those who shot well below their handicaps once again :-) ).

ProTee United Will myonlinegolftour.com ever be updated in real time to reflect net scoring as the rounds progress? Or, perhaps, will handicap scoring be implemented into the tgccloud.com live scoring?

Thats the idea. The tour site is being redesigned. It will be ready after the summer.

Well I finished my first tournament. Actually I knocked out Q school and the tournament in two days. 45 holes yesterday and 81 today. I just planned on finishing Q school but my wife and son were out of town so I figured I would try out the tournament. My body is definitely going to feel it tomorrow, and I've got some new blisters to show for it. I am looking forward to playing in some more tournaments are a normal pace in the future. There were some nice rounds posted as well!
