Well Bama was my ghost ball partner tonight, and he was kicking my butt through the first nine holes, but he went south and I had a good back nine. Got me by one stroke though :-). Happy with the score as it was one of those rounds that I hit some really good shots and then some really poor shots. My short game continues to be my Achilles heal. I lost a couple of strokes to the wacky pull/push putting that you get. I just don't feel comfortable rewinding those shots even though I truly think it's a jacked up reading. Left another put literally on the edge of the hole. If we had the wind on it might have blown it into the hole :-).

Chipping is just either five yards short or five yards long. I think I'm going to go back to my 62-degree around the green. Although I hit what I thought was a good shot with it late in the round and went by the hole 4-5 yards. Couldn't save the putt. But it's hit and miss in real life to so I know it's not the sim.

Looking forward to playing round two. Probably get that in late tomorrow or later this week.

Thank you. You as well. It was certainly better than the opening round at Pebble Beach ;-).

I was playing against Bama as well, he can really put the ball out there quite a ways.

-9 already posted. Nice job stingreye.

Thanks wbond.... played the 18's back to back last night. Its official...the addiction is strong. I am not sure the -9 net is correct though. I have only played one round at Pebble and these 2 rounds. Don't you need 5 tournament rounds for a cap?

Not anymore, it will be on a sliding scale until you reach 20 total rounds. They have a thread that explains it, follows usga process I believe.

So it looks like that 85 should bring my cap down in time for the next tour. My second round I managed to avoid the water much better than the first round. Congratulations on the even par round!

I'm going to knock my two rounds out tonight and then hang it up until the end of the week of the first tournament in the next season. My body has taken a beating between 4 or 5 nights of multiple rounds and playing hockey on top of it. Pinched nerve and pulled back muscle needs to rest!

I plan on recording, pending frustration levels. I really like this course and have played it well in the past.

I played pretty bad in round 1 (well compared to my last three rounds). I hit a lot of fat iron shots and man the CCE mat really penalizes you for that. Also I didn't chip it as close as I usually do. I wanted to rewind one shot. I had 170 yards from the woods. I played a low punch 3h that showed 140 carry on the GC2 but only went 40 yards in TGC. I didn't rewind and I couldn't shake that shot lol. Later on that same hole I forgot to look at my distance before pitching the ball. I tried to stop mid swing but hit the ball. Total melt down. 😀 Round 2 tomorrow.

Played both rounds. Had some pretty good swings going on tonight. Which is odd since I shouldn't even be walking with the way my back has been feeling. Now it's time to take a break from all things golf until the 15th or so. My body needs a rest!

Decent starting round...could have been 4 or 5 strokes better. Just hate those shots that you know you gave away......

Agreed. When I start giving away strokes it starts to eat away at my focus. I have to get better about that.

            87 for round 1. I'll take it.

nice course - the first nine seem longer than the back. However, I was 10 over in front and 13 over in back - the back included going into the water 4 times, 3x times I believe on the tee shot of 16. Hope to break 90 on the 2nd round - could not tee off well at all today.

This is a nice course. I played a practice round on the next winter course. It has a few risk reward holes that will crush a few golfer's dreams .....that's for sure.

Here is round 2 of the current tournament. It's a good round with a few terrible shots mixed in.

Strange. We deleted the last shots for you. Could indeed be something funny when shutting down the control panel. Other then that we have no idea...

Thanks, I will be mindful of shutting the control panel down in the future.

ProTee...... It may not be the control panel...... I looked at ksman's non tour data..... shots 135-138 are messed up like mine were. I have seen ksman putt..... from 2 yards, 40mph is not like him jk. I think that he has a GC2. Take a look at his time stamp. I will keep an eye on my data and let you know if this happens again. Not a big deal really but if there is a bug you can identify, may as well fix it. People would know that it's not an illegal rewind when they look at 40 mph putt from 2 yards.

Here is my final round... a solid 75. I had 3 looks at birdies inside 12 feet and could not make a putt. I like this course, I think it is a good one to play when you have friends over....open and not too long.

Doc that's what happens when you get to old and still wear shoes that you need to tie you need to stretch out before attacking that shoe lace.

They do not make slip on golf shoes!!!!! Truth be told, I did a 20 minute rowing workout this morning and no pain so I think I will be ok. Last night was the first time in a while I could even walk normally. I thought about doing both rounds but chose to rest up.
