  • Please turn on Shot Recording as it is now a tour requirement.

Turning on Shot Recording is now part of the rules. Please check your data to make sure that shot recording is working properly. We have had a tour member report phantom putts. At times, an additional putt was added exactly 4 seconds after the first putt. ProTee is looking into the issue. Being that shot recording was only tested by a few, we are bound to discover a few new bugs. I have looked at data from many players over the last couple of days. For the most part Shot recording is working excellent. When checking your data, look for extra shots, missing shots, and that the appropriate fields are being populated. Please help ProTee out and check your data after every round. When reporting issues to ProTee it is helpful to have the shot number and whether it was tour or non tour. It is also helpful to record your round.... this way if you have an issue it is easier to put two and two together. Please remember that rewinds and the use of Autorewind are not permitted during tournament rounds with the exception of an obvious misread by the simulator. Those misreads are usually easy to identify when looking at the data. Sometimes you will see a 0 degree LA or a shot 20 degrees to the left or right. My favorite one is when my system picks up my club head. It will show a driver shot with 28 degrees LA.

    Thanks!

"bluestreak" was set up for the ShotData site which did not allow me to use my regular nickname "aja" since it was too short.

I would still like to access the Shotdata page, unless of course the tour website is meant to replace it. In that case, please delete "bluestreak".

Question - I have had shot recording turned on for quite some time since I was part of the early beta test.

I played in this week's tournament and looked on the http://golfsimulatortours.com site, but I did not see any of my tournament shots showing in the Recorded Tour Shots. My practice rounds however, showed up in the Recorded Shots (Non-Tour) section.

    Anybody have an explanation?

Shot recording! I did not notice this until now. Will try to do it from here on.

(ps, I can not remember when I last did a rewind, for the record.)

I don't get reads on a GC2 that don't make sense. touch wood.

I have no concerns over sensor systems needing rewinds. I'm just trying to clarify if Aeroburner is suggesting everyone get mulligans when they want them or is he saying there should be a limit for users needing rewinds. It was a clarifying question only.

I didn't take it that way..... Does the GC2 ever have a phantom shot with about 20% more distance? I had one during the 3rd round of pebble beach. 10 min mark..... on YouTube. 220 up 42 feet. So I am hitting a 250ish shot and hoping to land in front of the green and roll on. It carries the green which is 240ish plus the 42 feet. I can't hit any club but the driver that far. My shot was well struck and should have been very close if not on the green for an eagle putt. I got a bogey. This happens maybe once in about 300 shots. It is always a very well struck shot. I don't rewind those but I know that some feel that it is justified.

Right but he's talking about a number allowed for everyone. He's talking about mulligans or is he? I don't know.

Legit rewinds are pretty easy to identify. It is usually extreme numbers. 0 degree LA or 20 degrees to the left. If it picks up my driver head, mine will show 27 degrees LA and about 45 mph with the driver. The misreads that I struggle with are ..... when the ball travels 20% farther with a club that I know will never ever reach that distance IRL. That is a very rare occurrence but it has happened to me. I usually don't rewind.

A few tournament rounds ago, I also played back to back rounds and before starting the second one while on the first tee, I hit escape bringing up the menu thinking it would not record any shots and hit a couple wedges and drivers. After the round, when I looked at the data, it was all recorded even though they were not in the game. I would assume this is still the case.

I also used to warm up on the tournament round...... couple of nine irons, then on to the 8 and 7 and finally a few drives. Now I go to the range.

Do you mean if I hit it out of bounds once a nine I get a mulligan or do you mean if get 1 misread per 9 I'm allowed a mulligan and if I get two misreads I'm SOL?

Claiming ignorance... what does shot recording actually do exactly? I'm gonna guess it records shots (before the smartasses chime in haha), but where? Besides turning shot recording=on in the settings file, is there anything else to do?

7000rpm backspin on a 150+ mph drive is definitely indicative of a bad read.

... and make sure Shot Recording=ON in the settings file.
Working...
