Please turn on Shot Recording as it is now a tour requirement.
Turning on Shot Recording is now part of the rules. Please check your data to make sure that shot recording is working properly. We have had a tour member report phantom putts. At times, an additional putt was added exactly 4 seconds after the first putt. ProTee is looking into the issue. Being that shot recording was only tested by a few, we are bound to discover a few new bugs. I have looked at data from many players over the last couple of days. For the most part Shot recording is working excellent. When checking your data, look for extra shots, missing shots, and that the appropriate fields are being populated. Please help ProTee out and check your data after every round. When reporting issues to ProTee it is helpful to have the shot number and whether it was tour or non tour. It is also helpful to record your round.... this way if you have an issue it is easier to put two and two together. Please remember that rewinds and the use of Autorewind are not permitted during tournament rounds with the exception of an obvious misread by the simulator. Those misreads are usually easy to identify when looking at the data. Sometimes you will see a 0 degree LA or a shot 20 degrees to the left or right. My favorite one is when my system picks up my club head. It will show a driver shot with 28 degrees LA.Last edited by keither5150; 11-08-2016, 09:12 PM.Tags: None

Shot recording is not to keep people honest...making shot recording public is. When the tour first started, it was required that you play live with another player, we have come a long way. I would say that the vast majority of players don't abuse rewinds. It's probably less than 1% that do .
Having all of that data is very useful. I know I used it and changed how I hit my mid irons to stick the greens better. Also, if somebody is having problems with their sim.... it is a useful tool to help identify the problem.

Just curious, what is the purpose of shot recording? Did I miss something, I just don't read all that much of this anymore..............

RULES
Gimme : within 2 yards / 1.8 meters
Handicap : Not required
Wind: OFF
Green Grid : ON
Club Suggestion is ENABLED.
Boost: +/-5% maximum on club settings
These are the settings that you have to use to comply with tournament play. So, yes, you need to use Gimme, 2 yards in the TGC settings.

Shot recording is pretty awesome by the way. Really cool to download the data.

Me too, I don't think I have ever have used rewind except when I am playing the TPC at Sawgrass for fun... I don't think GC2 has near the problems that other hardware has.Originally posted by bk1106 View PostShot recording! I did not notice this until now. Will try to do it from here on.
(ps, I can not remember when I last did a rewind, for the record.)

Is it frowned upon to play the tournaments without putting at all and using the auto 2 putt if you're on the green?

For those doing this, don't forget you need to put your TGC User ID from the TGC config file (Settings) into your forum profile.

There is nothing wrong with your score or scorecard. 74 is your score.

Ah. Thanks for the quick reply.. explains the scorecard putts. ETA on fix?

Went on expecting to not see any shots recorded on the tour website, but it was recording now. Problem though - it only shows 61 shots, and I shot a 74 or something like that for the first round of this week's tourney. Anybody have an answer for that?
