Turning on Shot Recording is now part of the rules. Please check your data to make sure that shot recording is working properly. We have had a tour member report phantom putts. At times, an additional putt was added exactly 4 seconds after the first putt. ProTee is looking into the issue. Being that shot recording was only tested by a few, we are bound to discover a few new bugs. I have looked at data from many players over the last couple of days. For the most part Shot recording is working excellent. When checking your data, look for extra shots, missing shots, and that the appropriate fields are being populated. Please help ProTee out and check your data after every round. When reporting issues to ProTee it is helpful to have the shot number and whether it was tour or non tour. It is also helpful to record your round.... this way if you have an issue it is easier to put two and two together. Please remember that rewinds and the use of Autorewind are not permitted during tournament rounds with the exception of an obvious misread by the simulator. Those misreads are usually easy to identify when looking at the data. Sometimes you will see a 0 degree LA or a shot 20 degrees to the left or right. My favorite one is when my system picks up my club head. It will show a driver shot with 28 degrees LA.

Is it frowned upon to play the tournaments without putting at all and using the auto 2 putt if you're on the green?

Me too, I don't think I have ever have used rewind except when I am playing the TPC at Sawgrass for fun... I don't think GC2 has near the problems that other hardware has.Originally posted by bk1106 View PostShot recording! I did not notice this until now. Will try to do it from here on.
(ps, I can not remember when I last did a rewind, for the record.)

Just curious, what is the purpose of shot recording? Did I miss something, I just don't read all that much of this anymore..............

Shot recording is not to keep people honest...making shot recording public is. When the tour first started, it was required that you play live with another player, we have come a long way. I would say that the vast majority of players don't abuse rewinds. It's probably less than 1% that do .
Having all of that data is very useful. I know I used it and changed how I hit my mid irons to stick the greens better. Also, if somebody is having problems with their sim.... it is a useful tool to help identify the problem.

good idea we have a couple of guys 1 and 2 with shot recording off as we did last week if your twentieth don't care but first is a little different.Last edited by aeroburner; 11-24-2016, 10:24 PM.

Hey guys - Can someone help tell me if my shot recording is on?
I just played first round of the X-mas Tourney...
Also - Can't tell if the tourney is recognizing my Handicap differential. I just finished Q-School this week. Still figuring out the system here.
Cheers,

HC will calculate on Tuesdays. You will play this tourney as 0.. Most have started this way..Shot recording is not currently working for you.. PM @protee .. I had issues figuring it out as well so I know your pain.. Your putts are showing up so that is set correctly.. If I can find the post about shot recording I will hit you back... Welcome to the fold.. I am in about 5 events & it is a blast...

Pingerz
ProTee United had given me this in another post to help me...
The settings file contains a section [TGC Online].
Here you will find:
Shot Recording=OFF
USER ID=<YOUR USER ID> eg. AAAA-1234-CCCC-5678-EEEE
1] Turn on Shot Recording, save the file.
Shot Recording=ON
2] Copy the USER ID.
3] Edit your Forum user profile and paste the USER ID in the field: TGC User ID.
4] Edit the field TGC Nickname in your forum user profile. Make sure its EXACTLY the same as the nickname you use in TGC.
5] Save you forum profile and hit a couple of test shots on a random course.
Hopefully this helps.. This is what
